Description: We are a family run restaurant which specialises in locally sourced and cooked foods. We make everything on site and are proud to be the holders of the best locally sourced restaurant title in Scotland. We can accommodate most dietary requirements but very specific requests should be notified. We offer a range of service times from breakfasts till 11.30Am , lunches till 5pm and a proper restaurant menu in the evenings. As we cook everything from scratch including all our kids meals please do not get us confused with a greasy spoon cafe! Or pub grub style. Our pride is in what we produce. We grow a lot of our ingredients on our own farm and source from our neighbouring farms and we can always tell you who supplied our steaks.

“Love good food then eat here”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 June 2014

This restaurant is a little basic but the food is exceptional with all locally sourced ingredients. Be sure to engage the owner in conversation as he will tell you where every leaf of salad comes from, in a most convivial and entertaining fashion. It is closed on Tuesday and, apparently, very busy on a Monday. Seafood is a speciality - particularly on a Wednesday when there is a good choice of locally caught fish. Having said that, we both had steak, which was wonderful.

“Amazing”

Went for an Anniversary meal, starters were delicious, we both had steak for our mains and it was the best steak we have ever had. Staff were lovely, Graham very knowledgeable and a fab host. Can't rate the place highly enough, best meal in a long time eating out.

“Perfect ending to a perfect day”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 June 2014 via mobile

We had been referred here for dinner from the owners of our B&B. After a very long day driving and hiking all over this part of Scotland, we were ready for a good meal. What we received was a spectacular meal. The restaurant is very welcoming and the service is very attentive. The seafood and produce is all local, and you can tell by the taste. I had fresh caught lobster and my wife had the pork tenderloin steaks. They were delicious in huge portions. So much so, that we had to pass on the extensive dessert menu.
This is what Scottish food should taste like.
