“An excellent cottage”
Reviewed 4 August 2013 for a stay in July 2013

This is a very comfortable barn conversion in a superb location. Everything about it is stylish and the covered balcony with lovely views is a real bonus. Plenty of space inside and lots to do in the surrounding area.

“Great Barn Stay, offers short stays too!”

We enjoyed a great three nights at Reyflat Barn and wish we could have stayed longer. Definitely offers peace, privacy and green fields as the barn located at the rear of the property and is off a quiet side road! Welcomed with flowers, fresh-baked scones, jam and clotted cream, we settled in to this very spacious holiday let. It has a well-planned kitchen with generous bench and cupboard space. There is a large refrigerator/freezer, plenty of equipment and china. Should you feel like baking a cake there is even cake tins! A comfortable sofa, tables and chairs fit easily into this large room with French doors opening to the terrace. Also on the lower level there is a large bedroom with two single beds and a family bathroom with a bath.
Upstairs is the master bedroom, another bathroom with a shower and a living room with a sheltered balcony. The outlook from the upstairs rooms is stunning with very long distance landscape views. There is a nice selection of indoor games and a DVD collection. The TV receives satellite channels including a movie channel. The building has underfloor heating downstairs and radiators upstairs and triple glazing. We appreciated the use of the nearby laundry room – washer and dryer. Should you have any queries or problems the owner is only a telephone call away. We enjoyed staying as a couple but obviously this property would suit a family, lots of room outside for the children although bring their own games equipment.
You are located within easy reach of Inverness here. We used this holiday let as a base to tour and took easy day trips to Loch Ness and Culloden. The Black Isle is a very scenic area and minutes down the road are the tiny village of Rosemarkie and the town of Fortrose. There is lot of history here with the cathedral ruins and historic homes. Cromarty is a short drive away offering wonderful views across the Cromarty Firth.
