“14th visit”

Yes, we really have been to this hotel 14 times, probably number 15 coming up in November.
Basically we love the location and this is the reason we return time and time again. However, the hotel is not as good as it used to be, as we would have definitely awarded it 5 stars in the past. The main area where it has deteriorated is the food. Evening meals used to have fresh pineapple, piles of Langoustines, tuna, salmon, swordfish, etc, whereas now it tends to be local cheaper fish and items rehashed from the night before. Still, we will tend to eat out on a few occasions, so this doesn't put us off returning.
We find that the staff are always helpful and friendly.
One thing we will always do is get a tide timetable so that we can plan when it's safe to walk along the beach into Jandia or Morro Jable. There is also a good bus service, twice an hour, that will take you into Jandia for 1 Euro.
Sadly one of the cafe's that we have frequented for many a year when to the wall whilst we were there in May, but you can still find a good choice of bars and cafe's in both Jandia and Morro Jable. We would certainly recommend Eisdealer, near the English pub, for an excellent ice cream and hot chocolate, but don't try to diet at the same time!

Even though this is a 4 star hotel, I felt like it should be 5.
I found the service quite good, friendly but without being forced or fake.
During your stay, time seems to stop, all worries disappear and you feel like in a spiritual retreat.
Overall this is the perfect hotel to relax and be away from the outside world.

Positive:

»Remote location (Perfect place to enjoy life and your surroundings)
»Outstanding views
»Wonderful outdoor areas
»Beautiful rooms
»Amazing lobby
»Nudist area and pool
»Complete privacy
»Peace, peace and peace

Negative:

»It may be to quiet for some people

My advice, do not hesitate, just go.

Me and my partner stayed from 20-27th June, booked through Thompson platinum and were half board. First impressions from landing and the transfer were not to great as it seemed we were in the middle of nowhere. A 1 hour journey to the area where the club magic life, fuerteventura princess and jandia princess and located.
First impressions are vital, and WOW were we amazed. The hotel looked massive. We arrived around 21.30pm, very simple check in process, staff were very friendly and fluent in English. Suitcases were taken by porter to our rooms as the staff had kindly opened the restaurant for us on arrival. After leaving the buffet restaurant we struggled to find our room as it seemed like a maze to us. But within 5 minutes and some help from a German couple we found it. The room was spotless ad our balcony looked into the atlantic (lovely view in the mornings). Breakfast was served in main restaurant and is based on a buffet selection (eat as much as you want) with a huge selection. The pool areas were always clean and tidy and the children's pool out the way from the adults so you can escape from the splashing. Lunch is served in the pizzeria bar, selection of salads, pizzas, burgers, chicken and other nibbles.
The 'coco loco' bar is situated in the middle of the adult pool which offers a selection of cocktails and other refreshments. Average drink cost 5€. Dinner is served from 18.30 - 21.00, again with a huge selection to choose from. Drinks you order will be placed on your room tab so be careful to keep an eye in this, as can soon mount up. With a small bottle of water costing 2€ you can imagine what this will turn into in a weeks time. I will just add you can view your tab from reception at anytime just by giving your room number.
The hotel location as described in brochures is correct. Middle of nowhere/quiet. It really is, however the town of jandia is only a taxi ride away for 8€. This is very much a seafront full of tourist shops, duty free shops, and cafes/bars. Nice day out. It is possible to walk back from jandia to the hotel but expect an hour and half and a very hot walk at that.
The beach is on the princess's door step. A short downhill walk accessible from the rear of the hotel takes you directly into the beach.
Weather wise, VERY HOT. I regularly checked temperatures before we arrived to see what it was like, and looked around 24 degrees. it does not feel like 24 degrees but will quite quickly shoot up to the 30's and half way through our trip we experienced a 'calima', a strong wind from the Sahara desert bringing a 10 degree rise in temperature. WOW THIS WAS HOT. 43 degree weather. Defienlty take advantage of the pools.
We had to check out at 11am on the 27th but was kindl offered a courtesy room so we could get showered before the long flight home. Very nice I you ask me.

All in all a very nice comfortable place to stay. Quiet, relaxing and peaceful break. If your looking for a party do not come here.
Only a couple of downsides, the price for water in the restaurants and bars is too expensive. With boiling hot temperatures obviously you need to drink plenty, but can easily cost you a fortune. There is a small shop based on ground floor below reception where you can buy bottled water for 1€. Stock up but must stress, if you drink this at a bar you WILL get told to get rid and buy their water. Not so friendly.

We had a lovely time as a young couple, completely relaxed and would certainly recommend. Hope this helps!!!

Just got back from a great 10 days at the Fuerteventura Princess.

The food was overall very good, previous comments re buffet food are entirely true in that it's not necessarily exciting or haute cuisine but we always found something we liked as there is plenty of choice. Try the "late risers" breakfast - much more pleasant sitting looking out at the beach although if you're a true sun worshipper you may wish to be up at the crack of dawn! For those craving full english this is still available there, and it's actually much better!

The only exception to this was on our arrival, and to the Princess management - I'm sorry but cold pizza is not a good welcome. The restaurant could perhaps have offered a cold plate of meats, cheese & bread instead of what we received which was pretty gruesome?

Still, that said, our room was well appointed and spotlessly clean and the hotel grounds are lovely and very well maintained. No problems whatsoever with sunbed-hogging, there were always plenty available at whatever time we went to the pool and the staff were all very pleasant and efficient.

If you want nightlife this is definitely not the place - everything seems to stop by midnight, after which you won't see anybody about! For a change of scene take a bus or taxi into Jandia or Morro Jable, the beach there is absolutely beautiful and there are plenty of shops & restaurants to keep you occupied.

Overall a great hotel if you want to totally relax, would definitely go back but as others have said two weeks would be too much for us (and take some snacks for the outbound journey so you're not starving when you get there!)

Just returned from this hotel.Stayed between 9th June and 20th June.
Beleive it to be good value for money.Booked with Thompsons and the room allocated to us had a lovely sea view, near the kiddies pool, but wasn,t a problem,as there was little noise and not a lot of loud music.
The hotel was less than half full,so there were plenty of Sunbeds.
The meals were a bit repetitive and the breakfast choice was a little disappointing, but never went hungry. We found the staff, very polite and friendly,so dont really understand last reviewers comments ?
As for cleanliness, the rooms and hotel were kept very clean,so not really a lot to moan about.
One word of warning,if you hire a car the main roads are excellent, but beware the mobile Police
Speed traps, there seems to be a bit of a purge on at the moment.approached a 60 limit a little over and had to pay an on the spot 50 Euros fine,if you dont pay on the spot, the fine is doubled !!
Nicky the Thompson rep also collected a fine the same day,and this was for 150 Euros,
All in all,had a nice quiet break, but a bit too quite for us,will return to a Princess hotel but not this one,as the location is a bit isolated.

We stayed at this hotel between 06th of June until 20th June 2012 as we have done for the last 4 years. The hotel itself is set in very quiet area about a 10 minute taxi from the main town which is Jandia.I Can NOT understand previous reviews stating that you dont get a decent room with Thomson as on every occasion our room has been excellent with a nice Pool or sea view.Food was excellent and there was a lot of choice throughout our 2 weeks including steak duck chicken pork and turkey plus a whole range of salads and pasta. The staff were so friendly and polite throughout our stay and couldnt do enough to help. The hotel is right next to the beach which is such a lovely natural stretch of beach never ending with blue seas and white sands.weather was great a bit windy on 2 days but that doesnt bother me just keeps you cool. I would recomend this to anyone wanting quiet break in the sun will i go again definatley

We booked our trip through Thompson, and paid £415 for 7 nights half board which we found very reasonable. Very peaceful and relaxing location, beautiful long sandy beaches and the pools are huge. We went from June 9th-16th and it was very quiet, don't think the hotel was even half full. However we never had to fight for a sunlounger, no towels being left from 5am on chairs etc. The pools were almost always empty which was lovely for going for a long swim. Found the staff always friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed the evening entertainment with the Soul band being our favourite. The food was fine for a week, but we would have been bored with it for more than that sadly. The nudists aren't really seen unless you sit near the nudist pool which is sectioned off. It feels a very remote location, we walked 45 minutes to the nearest town which wasn't very big, however you do feel like you're on a proper 'desert island' which I guess it is! So if I was looking for another relaxing and peaceful holiday that is very stress free I would book again, however not for longer than a week.
