Description: A beautiful flint and brick old English inn, The Ivy House is right in the heart of the Chiltern Vale and renowned for its excellent food, real ales and extensive wine list. With quaint accommodation, it's also one of the best places to stay in the Chiltern Hills.Everyone gets a warm welcome at The Ivy House, and we pride ourselves on being one of the area's best child-friendly pubs. With baby changing facilities, outside seating and enough garden for the kids to enjoy, this is a great spot for a family meal. Just 40 minutes from central London, we're surrounded by stunning countryside that provides a great escape from the city. Walkers, ramblers and lovers of the outdoor can enjoy the area's open green spaces - and then a great meal at The Ivy House!

Knowing the Ivy House was under new management and had been refurbished we decided to celebrate an anniversary and a birthday and we weren't disappointed. Our starters were really delicious (especially the pigeon breast) and so were our main courses - suckling pig x2, slow cooked lamb and turbot. The restaurant is charming, painted in soothing colours and we had drinks outside on the pretty terrace, which although is very near a quite busy road is a delight to sit in on a 'rare' summer's evening!
We will definitely return and recommend The Ivy House to our friends.

The Ivy House has just been refurbished and is under new management. Myself, partner and our four kids went for a drink to see what it was like. We ended up staying for lunch.... So glad we did .... To say the food was good .. Doesn't even describe it. Every bite was an experience, even the kid's plates were literally licked clean! Beautiful presentation, service, friendly atmosphere. My partner and I cannot wait to go back, without kids, to experience the food sensation again. Highly recommend The Ivy House.
