We headed off with our 2 daughters age 8 and 12 for a walk after seeing the great reviews. Follow the signs all the way and pass though a gate paying €3.50 to park nearer the start of the walks. There you are given a map too. We parked up to the left on arrival (not the busier car parks to the right) and this worked out well. We started walking the easiest 'green' route which then joined the 'blue' walk which we followed into some amazing scenery. We then headed up the longer 'red' route for 10mins to a lovely little cafe for a well earned drink!. We headed back down the other part of the circular 'blue' route back to the car parks. Boy we were pleased we did not start there as the climb down was very steep...which means going the other way round would have been torture with 2 kids! This will all make sense once you have your map. All in all there 2 hours but longer walks are there and would not have missed it.

We are fairly seasoned walkers inth Alps, but this site is really exceptional and reminds me more of scenery I've seen in the US at Yosemite. The valley floor is flat meaning non experieced walkers can easily walk for a couple of hours and fully appreciate the 360 degree surrounding scenery, with vertiginous cliffs and numerous waterfalls, while more experienced walkers will find more than enough to challenge them. Some of the walks on the sides of the cliffs are only destined for experienced walkers and involve ropes and walking over slippery rocks so make sure you are fully informed of your route and don't under-estimate the warning signage. In summer the site is heaving with tourists, but the beauty of the site still makes it worth it.

As you drive up through Sixth, you'll be aware that you're in some spectacular scenery. But don't stop! Drive to the end of the road, park where signed, and follow the short walk through the trees. Suddenly, you'll find yourself in the middle of the natural horseshoe (=fer a cheval). Stunning - and that's from the guy who's spent 30 years skiing the Alps. If you've got water and gear, there is a variety of walks, from a couple of hours to a few days; but just the view is pretty special. Highly recommended!

A place to go to really chill out and relax compared to the hectic ski-resorts nearby . So many people come to the grand massif must miss out on this place of outstanding natural beauty . Stunning
