My wife and I just spent 3 days at La Casa Adelina. The setting is fantastic. Montechiello is a picture perfect town. Small cobble stoned streets with beautiful balconies, beautiful little square with a small church. Untouched and very little tourist traffic. It was perfect for us. After dark, we had the village entirely to ourselves. Very very few people. It was great. The vistas of tuscany (val di orcia I think) from the village gate are outstanding .. After seeing montechiello, we did not like any other hill town.

We stayed in the attic suite. It has a living room, a bedroom, a kitchen and bathroom. Beautiful accomodation. There was a great view from every window.

Fracesco is great host. He helped us planning our day trips. He made very good breakfast. We woke up to the smell of fresh cake every day.

As an added bonus, the town is full of fig trees. We plucked and ate a lot of fresh figs.

Room Tip: A couple of points to note: 1. The ceilings in the attic rooms are really low. Particularly in the...

We stayed four nights at the Casa di Adelina and it was a perfect getaway. Monticchiello is a small but utterly charming hill top town which has retained its own personality. Francesco was a great host and nothing was too much trouble. He mapped out some walks for us to and from the nearby towns of Pienza and Montepulciano, cooked us a very enjoyable dinner and made the whole stay a real pleasure. It was quite dream-like and dreamy too ... the sunset over Pienza... we can strongly recommend staying here.

Excellent! The hotel is located in a very cozy and ancient Tuscan village. Beautiful views of the valley (we had the attic room). Hospitality host at the highest level. Very pleased with the presence of a fireplace, and a delicious breakfast.

Room Tip: Attic room has a great view from the window of the valley.

When we crossed the city portal we thought our car wouldn't fit the narrow streets of the city. A couple turns later we saw ourselves in the middle of the village, in a "piazza" that could take you back to the medieval age. Right there is the B&B. As arranged previously with Francesco, our dinner was waiting. In fact, only the time of the dinner was arranged, the menu was a surprise for us. And it was good, very good.
The breakfast is another highlight. My wife loved the scrumbled eggs with pepper and olive oil Francesco served.
I wish we had about a week to spend there, because the region offers lots of things to see. And Francesco is a great source of informations about where to go and what to see.
I need to warn about the uphill walkings and the stairs to get to the B&B. Not recommended to poeople with locomotion difficulties.

Room Tip: Room Blu has great views from both windows.

We stayed in the attic room for 3 nights and it was highlight of our Italy trip. The house is in the center of tiny village Monticchiello with wonderful views of Tuscany hills. Francesco was wonderful host, he prepared delicous traditional Tuscan breakfast for us every morning.
The house itself is beautiful and has long ancient history that you can actually feel in every detail, decoration, piece of furniture. I highly recommend this play for authentic experience of Tuscany.

We had a fantastic 4-day stay. The B&B is very comfortable - our room was spacious and looked on to the town square, and the common living area was great to hang out in. Francesco is a wonderful host - he put on a delicious home cooked breakfast and gave us lots of useful local info, driving routes, etc. He was very eager to help us out in anyway possible and tailored the breakfast to our preferences.

Montichiello is a very cute, little medieval town and a great place for exploring the region. We enjoyed eating at the local restaurants, especially La Porta where the food and hospitality were both lovely.

A few tips on access... Parking is easy but you will need to walk a few minutes up the hill (with stunning views of Val d'orcia) to the B&B, and then up a few flights of stairs. You can park right outside the B&B to unload bags (after some confusion we realized Francesco was waiting at the town entrance to show us the way) and Francesco carried our bags up the stairs for us.

Thanks for a lovely stay Francesco. Perfecto!!
