We arranged with the hotel for free transport both ways from train station. We were given a room for three on the 4th floor which makes it very convenient to visit the outdoor and indoor spa on the fifth floor. On arrival, we were warmly welcome and the lady will be asked to choose her yukata (different designs). The man's yukata come in only one design. Our toiletry bags are colour coded in pink, green and yellow. The towels and toothbrushes are also of matching colours.
The kaiseki dinner was included in our package and we chose to eat at seven. There are two sofa chairs which one can sit on to admire the view of the river and the mountain. It is a lovely town to explore and note all the available foot-baths. Just across the road from this hotel, one can access the river walk by a staircase. The dinner includes beef, mushrooms, pork, bean sprouts, fish etc. The tomato jelly is delicious.
We also arranged with the hotel to provide a birthday cake(2200 Yen) for one of our birthday. There are a few onsen baths available on different floors. After dinner, the staff came and arrange our futon for us.
Breakfast starts from 7.30 am. However they were kind to serve our breakfast at 6.40 am in our room as we have a train to catch at 7.30. The journey by car to the station takes only about 3 mins.
We were thankful to have stayed here as it was raining very heavily that night and we were warm and snug indoor enjoying our dinner in our room. It was a good experience to stay in a ryokan and enjoyed the kaiseki dinner.
