Ideal park for younger children. Not too far a walk and 2 different play areas for children. One in a giant sandpit with lots of different activities and another which is hidden in the trees consists of lots of tunnels which the kids love. The cafe was not in use when we visited, there was only a catering van there but I understand the cafe was being renovated and is now open.

My first visit to Sywell CP in 20+ years! Was staying in the area & we wanted an easy afternoon walk. Car park was 1st 'interest' - have to put in car reg number for ticket £2.60 per day - we had a hire car, so had to walk the car park twice to remember it.

Nice track surface round the reservoir. Saw some dragonflies & water fowl, but not much else. Most areas dogs keep on lead, others they can run free.

(I think) relatively new cafe - rather expensive: 2 ice creams (Magnum & Cornetto) £4.40, but as I don't live in England, that may be the going rate these days!!

Nice to go back to after so long (used to take packed lunch there when I was working to get me out of office), but won't visit again.

This is a pleasant but not exceptional country park created when the Council bought the redundant reservoir around 1981. It takes about 90 minutes to walk around the circumference. There is a small - reasonable - cafe and there is a childrens play area suitable for under 10s. There is a "badger" wood with tunnels so bring clothes that can get dirty if your children are to use it.Parking charge is £2.60 - no change on the ticket machine. Reasonable toilets.

An easy to find attraction 10 minutes from Wellingborough and it was a sunny day which always helps. The cafe near the car park was clean and the food provided was very good (£2.50 for coffee and £3.00 for bacon sandwich). At the start of the walk there is a good sanded play area for children adjacent to a beautiful Butterfly garden and amphibian pond. The walk around the reservoir was not too long (1 hour 20 minutes) at my pace with beautiful views and I would say %50 of the walk was gravel the rest is grassed and was not too taxing, also there is plenty of benches at regular intervals throughout the walk. Yes I would recommend Sywell to families and ramblers alike it has something for everyone. There were some trails off the path that I didn't try as I have not been there before but I will explore on my next visit. The only fee to pay is a £2.60 parking charge it is worth the charge.

Discovered this place last weekend - it's a lovely place for a walk and picnic. Set around Sywell Reservoir the car park (think its £2.50 for the day) is shaded and there's lots of areas for picnics and BBQs. There's also a fantastic kids sandy play area, and a partially enclosed play area with tunnels and slides for slightly older children. There's plenty of benches and picnic areas around the reservoir too.

The longer walk is about 90 minutes. It's mostly all rough pathways suitable for buggies (we have a 3 wheel off roader) but there is a short piece where you go across a field and it wouldn't have been passable if it was a wet day.

Lovely tea shop and ice creams in the old pump house.

Not as busy as other parks in Northamptonshire. Would definitely recommend
