We visited Trutnov just for the one night and we stayed here because of its proximity to the rocks at Ardspach.

This hotel is just off the main square with free parking outside the hotel. We were in room 32 which is huge with a king sized bed and plush carpeting. The room is modern and I believe the whole hotel is newly renovated. The bathroom is a little on the small side but adequate. My only complaint was that the towels were a little smelly. There is free wifi.

Breakfast is included and includes cereal, fruit, bread, yoghurt and cold cuts. They'll make you eggs as well if you like. Totally adequate. I believe we might have been the only guests in the hotel.

The hotel and bar are Irish themed and we only briefly visited the bar, but it's done really well.

The rocks at Ardspach are really worth a visit and I'd come back to this hotel in a heart beat. Not a lot to do in Trutnov, but this is a great hotel at a great price!

The room we had at this hotel for 2 nights was large with a 7foot bed, 2 armchairs, table, dressing table, 42 inch LCD tv with English channels, a separate area for the wardrobe and a separate bathroom, it was actually more like a suite and was amazing value at around £65 per night. It was beautifully furnished and the bed was exceptionally comfy. There was also a mini bar with reasonable prices and tea/coffee making facilities. Also free wifi with great connection. The bathroom was again immaculate with new fixtures and fittings and lovely toiletries, my only problem was with the shower as I could not seem to get the right temperature, it was either scalding or not hot enough, it could have been user error of course!

Our room was at the front of the hotel with 3 large windows so was lovely and bright, we heard some noise at night from people leaving the pub which is an Irish bar within the hotel but nothing much and traffic noise was also minimal in the morning as its not exactly on a busy street.

Downstairs is an Irish bar selling Guinness and Magners cider, the hotel is owned by an Irishman and there is a lot of Irish sporting memorabilia around the walls, while we were there he also had live music on in the bar which was great. We ate here both nights as the food was great, especially the steak. We still cannot get over how cheap everything is in CZ in comparison to the UK, Czech lager is less than a pound for 50cl..no wonder there were 4 very drunk Irishmen in the bar when we arrived!

We were able to park our motorbike at the rear of the hotel and had no problems, there is also an outside seating area with heaters but as is the norm everywhere now these places are always occupied by smokers.

This is a fab hotel which I would highly recommend.

Room Tip: We had room 22 and were not disappointed.

Just back from an amazing long weekend in this newly renovated hotel. The rooms are finished to a very high standard and they are spotless! We were there with our 2 kids and we took a family room....which was huge! We got a babysitter for our kids, which meant we could enjoy the hospitality downstairs. We went skiing in the nearby resort and we are penciled in to do likewise again next year!

I can not comment on the rooms since I have not slept in the hotel, but the food in the restaurant is excellent. I have eaten there a few times and it has always been good.
Also, this is one of only two non-smoking restaurants in Trutnov, but the only non-smoking bar.
What I also love is the music.
I recommend this restaurant to any visitor to Trutnov.
And a few words about the hotel - the rooms are newly refurbished and comfortable and this is the only hotel in TRutnov (or perhaps the whoel Krkonoše Mountains) where there are tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms.
