Description: The Bosham Inn in Chichester is a country pub & restaurant oozing rural charm and rustic character. Our picturesque surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for savouring the hearty, seasonal pub-food on our menu, and the carefully nurtured cask ales and fine wines gracing our bar.

Large pub with plenty of tables, recently had a refurb and it much lighter inside. Decent seating outside as well as the normal pub garden benches for those just wanting a drink.
Menu includes light bites as well as the usual fare, sausages, fish, steaks and burgers. Our party of four had a pasta meal, lovely sauce and served with garlic bread. One chose a burger, minus the bun, which was fine and the last meal was a light sausage and mash - but plenty on the plate. With drinks the meal worked out at £10 a head. Gets very busy particularly near Christmas so worth booking.

My Daughter booked a table for 10 on Saturday 16th August 2014.@ 1930.We arrived and told there would be 40 minute wait! The starters arrived in 35 minutes, I had the haddock fishcake it was so over done it would have been a good sole for an army boot. The main course Hunters chicken was cut so thin it was tough after being cooked. We asked for another bottle of Prosecco Wine waitress came back sorry we have run out!!! some of us asked for a raspberry brulee's waiterss came back sorry run out!!! Did I complain, no it would have upset my daughter and the last thing you want a is an argument on a special night out with friends.
I am amazed this place is still open, running out of food /wine and long wait.

Thought we would come for Sunday lunch as it is close to us and has recently been refurbished and we wanted to see what if was like now. The refurb is very nice. The service however was not good at all. We sat down and ordered our mains which arrived pretty quick. But after receiving our mains nobody came back to make sure everything was ok with our food and we got fed up of waiting for somebody to return to us! We had to go to the bar to order coffee and desert. The coffee arrived about 15 minutes later and the waitress eventually cleared away our plates. The desert arrived after we had finished our coffee and about 40 mins after ordering it, we were just thinking about going!! We then had to go to the bar to pay on our way out as other customers in the restaurant were doing as nobody came back to the tables. The pub and restaurant was not even half full when we were there so it wasn't even busy. Doubt very much we will return based on our experience today :(

Stopped off for dinner after a day at Goodwood races. Wished we'd tried somewhere else. The waitress managed to drop peas everywhere and had no idea she had done it. The mushy peas with the fish & chips were cooked so much they resembled a fossil had to send them back as did most other diners. Won't be back

We ate here on Sunday. The starters arrived promptly and were great, Then came the very long wait. After failing to attract the attention of any passing staff I entered the restaurant and enquired about the progress ( or rather the lack of it ) of our meal. We had ordered the standard sunday roast & sat somewhat amused as people arrived, ordered their lunch, consumed it & left. Eventually the poorly prepared microwaved vegetables arrived accompanied by warm roast potatoes & a tough mass produced individual yorkshire. Not a cheap lunch and so I had an optimistic expectation of quality ....sadly not fulfilled.
