Great location. Good base for visiting Brighton by train from Balcombe Station. We also went on the Bluebell Railway and walked around the gardens at Wakehurst Place. Lovely countryside, although we didn't get out for any walks due to the weather. Some nice pubs around too. Lovely cottage with everything you need for a holiday. Very clean and comfortable.
Tranquil setting for a short break in spring . I was nature trailing and this location was ideal centrally for my excursions to some of sussex ' wildlife hotspots. Clean functional cosy lodgings and all facilities catered for. Nice touch with the welcomepack.. Thanks Kate and family
Loved staying here, the self contained cottage has everything you could need and set in the most beautiful Sussex countryside. I only stayed 2 days but could stay longer, and would love to return. The guest book is packed with great reviews in the cottage. I was 1 person staying here, its compact but great for 1 or 2 people. They really have thought of everything. Bathroom spotless with nice strong shower which can be a challenge in UK. I know the area, but found it great access to Brighton, Gatwick, Haywards heath and lovely surrounding villages, public footpaths, South Downs for walking etc. It was lovely drives to further away places such as historic Tunbridge Wells.
We spend our holidays in a lovely cottage in Sussex, the Lavender cottage in Balcombe. Apart from the weather, our stay was perfect. The cottage was well furnished and had much living space. The environment nice and many gardens and pubs to visit. In short a warmly recommended address for holidays.
