We stayed here whilst sailing at nearby Netley and it was great for a family of sailors and conveniently located. The house is well equipped and the owner couldn't have been more helpful and friendly before and during our stay. The extension had only just been completed and finish quality wasn't great in a few places but was ok.
En-suite main bedroom was very nice and suited my elderly mother in law very well. Living room was comfortable and fitted all 10 of us when relaxing in the evening.
We had a couple of issues with the fridge and washing machine but that could happen anywhere and the owner was very apologetic when I reported it. Although there were enough bathrooms, the one shared by the four smaller bedrooms was the smallest. A washing line outside would have helped when it came to drying our wetsuits but we did find enough space.
Outside, the road is quiet but quite narrow, though everyone seemed to be used to parking half on the pavement. Chatted to a couple of the neighbours, who were very friendly.
Altogether we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the house. We would stay there again if we came back to the area.
We booked this lovely house for a family weekend to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. And from the moment we booked it, we knew it would be great. Melissa, the owner, couldn't have been more helpful in the run-up - checking what milk and fruit juice we wanted left in the fridge, and even leaving us a bottle of wine in the kitchen for when we arrived.
The rooms were spotless and our two-year old granddaughter particularly enjoyed the wide selection of toys to play with, as well as running around the two gardens.
The location was perfect - just a five minute walk from the cafes, pubs and restaurants and, of course, the marina, plus the Co-op supermarket. The whole family thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we'll definitely be back again.
