A truly lovely B&B, which excels in all ways.
I contacted the owner Mike last minute and was lucky to be able to book a room. Replies were always swift, polite, and answering all my myriad questions. Upon arrival, Mike was extremely helpful and welcoming.
The property: Located right by some nice pubs which I would like to try next time, lovely area. The layout inside is lovely - completely spotless, recently renovated, very welcoming.
The room: As per the property. Really nice. Definitely at least 4 star quality, and better than many hotels in my opinion.
The Kitchen: Well stocked to put it mildly. Mike offered to get up and cook for a fellow crew member and I basically at dawn, and while I would have been tempted to have a full English breakfast before our regatta, I actually prefer to go for fruit and yoghurt before a race. But looking at what was on offer, I sure was tempted ...
I really have absolutely nothing bad whatsoever to say about Compass Point B&B. It's a standard against which I will be judging future B&Bs. I will be back before future regattas, if I am lucky enough to get a room!
