This is our preferred Indian restaurant in Risborough (out of 4). It has always been a down to earth basic Indian at reasonable price, but it has recently been redecorated and has a new chef, the food has improved. The service has always been quick and friendly.

We have just moved to the area and have left behind a fab Indian Restaurant and so therefore was hoping to find something to replace our loss. We went for a take away 1st and ordered a Kharai and a Korma..ended up with 2 kormas (which hubby don't like)..2nd time we decided to go in and eat there..service ssssooo slow and staff seemed to be falling over each other and not getting anything done . Nothing amazing about the food - going to have to travel the 30 miles to enjoy a curry me thinks..

Went to the House of Spice on a recommendation. Had the obligatory poppadums and chutneys. Very old school and traditional. Mint raita, Lime, mango and onion salad - nothing different.

However, it was at this point having ordered our main course, that I realised my wallet was on the table - at home. Explained our predicament and they were quite accommodating considering this was the first time in this restaurant.

Main dishes were nice but again, there was nothing on the menu to entice you to try anything from the norm.

Food was nice but we won't be returning purely because there is nothing to bring us back.
