Good tea, coffee or hot chocolate. They have a wide selection of cakes that look good, but I haven't tried them.

“A very special place”
Reviewed 9 April 2014

We love planning a breakfast trip to the cafe followed by a walk in the surrounding forested area. Although the breakfast menu is limited to sausage/bacon sandwiches or baguettes, we always find the experience relaxing and a good start to the day. We usually opt for mugs of coffee rather than a cafetiere. When we went recently we noticed the fresh flowers on each table and jugs of flowers on the window sills which reflects the care taken by the staff. The place caters for a lot of people and gets particularly busy at certain times but for us anyway, it is a real gem. In warmer weather it is lovely to sit outside and enjoy the countryside; in colder weather it is warm and snug inside, and when the weather is 'inbetween', there is a small, covered terrace on which to sit and watch the world go by. Highly recommended.

We used to live nearby and remember great walks in the woods here with our beloved Spaniel...returning recently after a long time away we came back for a walk down memory lane and enjoyed a break at the aptly named Cafe in the Woods. Very nice cup of tea and cake to finish our walk sitting outside at the wooden bench tables with fellow walkers their dogs and children. The wooden building of the cafe fits in with the setting and is delightfully rustic but functional with seating inside should the weather fail!
We were there late afternoon and after examining the menu are resolved to return at some point either for breakfast or lunch. Staff are friendly and work hard to get your order to your tray as quickly as possible as the place was quite busy...
Great drive through the woods to get there and the cafe is a short walk from the main car park...we will have to borrow someone's dog for when we return next!

A lovely place to stop on a miserable day after a muddy walk. Excellent hot chocolate and cake. Fantastic quality every time.
