Very pleasant two night stay, room comfortable and clean and being an old building the rooms have character. Good pub food well presented and reasonably priced, staff very welcoming and friendly. Good location for Oxford, Woodstock and many pretty surrounding villages.

Everything was just perfect from the booking, the greet on arrival, the room and the food. The staff on the night were loverly and friendly and nothing too much trouble. The room for was perfect, not what I expected for £60 per night.

Thank you very much for a wonderful stay at your lovely pub, I will definitely recommend to work and friends for future and may even stay myself again, although I now live in the area :)

Room Tip: I had room 15, not in the pub but a separate block, very peaceful stay

The room is large and comgortable. Clean, well decorated and warm.
Large TV with a few satellite channels.
Though it wasn't possible to keep the window open, just a minor fix needed there.
The bathroom, also large and recently refurbished. Large shower. As reported elsewhere the water pressure is poor but ok for a quick hairwash.
No shortage of hot water.
It is a pub, so don't always expect a quiet nights sleep before midnight.

Room Tip: It is a very old building in a quiet village. If you want a quieter night, ask for rooms away from the bar area.

We stayed several nights, great staff , nice food, room lovely apart from poor water pressure in large luxury shower cubicle.

Very dog friendly too, which is a real bonus for us.

Love to stay again.

Must sort shower pressure!

Couldn't have asked for nicer hosts - they've recently taken over the pub and clearly have big plans for it for the future.

Very comfortable in every respect with the sort of breakfast you need after a wedding. Would recommend it for certain.

There are a few small niggles for the owners to work out from the previous landlords but they're small (e.g. a sticking door) but nothing dramatic and it's extremely reasonable in terms of price compared to the local area.

I've every confidence these are noticed and being dealt with.

A big thanks to all the staff.
