We were looking for an island spot, off the beaten track, but close to BKK. Found this little gem on TripAdvisor and thought "Why not".
Booking was made via internet, first nights payment via Paypal.
We bused down from BKK, 2 hours, straight onto a ferry, 160BHT, and a short walk later we were there.
We were met by Wasana, the owner, who was very helpfull during our stay.
I had booked two bungalows, three (2 single beds) and four (double bed), for 2 adults and 2 kids. Each was very clean and simple. Great bathrooms, soaps, shampoos and fresh clean towels. Two bottles of drinking water along with tea and coffee making facilities.
The tourist spots are each at oppersite ends of the island, but walkable one way and a tuktuk back.
The beach is very popular with the Thai people. Has a small strip of places to eat and drink under a forrest of umbrellas. Safe for the kids to swim too.
Don't be put off by the large number of ships off the coast.
The garden area of Charlies has two little huts in which to use the free wifi whilst having a cold beer from the shop next door.
A nice way to say goodbye to Thailand after nearly 3 weeks.More
