We stayed 3 times at this lovely place and everytime we come it's only getting better! I've never seen such cleanliness in any bungalow in Thailand.Sleep quality is very good despite a not very soft bed. Room is provided with everything you need and even more, like a kettle, tea and coffee.
Free wifi available only outside the bungalow, but it was not a problem.
Staff is great, never stop smiling.

Charlie’s Bungalows provides spotless new bungalows for a reasonable price in a green, leafy and peaceful environment (900 baht on weekdays, 1000 baht on weekends, and 1100 baht on public holidays).

The bungalows are new, spacious and very well built with quality materials. They come with a fridge, small LCD TV (I guess 20 inches or so), hot shower, free wi-fi, kettle and complimentary coffee and tea sachets. Free copied island maps are available as well. The only thing I thought was missing were some chairs on the balcony.

The bungalows are not far from the boat landing (some 500 metres) and within walking distance if you are physically challenged or want to save the 50 baht tuk-tuk fare.

New automatic motorbikes (Honda Click and Yamaha Fino) are for rent at 300 baht per day. Very useful for a tour around this hilly island.

The island doesn’t have a lot of restaurants, but there are a few within walking distance of Charlie’s, namely Pan & David’s and some unnamed other places.

Their website is very informative and well worth a look before planning a visit (www.kohsichang.net).

Room tip: Rooms at the back are located a bit higher and very quiet. Bungalows 7 and 8 are ideal. For a floor plan, visit their website at www.kohsichang.net

Newly opened bungalows, spartan but comfortable. These one and two family bungalows are equipped with a small fridge, working wifi, showers, coffee service (instant), TV and aircon. Beds are large and comfortable (a bit hard if you aren't used to asian mattresses.) They are very clean, very good location (near town and near David and Pan's wonderful restaurant. They rent motorbikes (very well maintained - 300 baht, about $10 a day.) The grounds are attractive and have comfortable small gazebos and picnic tables. Each bungalow has a porch but no chairs or tables yet. There are also no comfortable chairs inside either. The manager Mrs. Wassana is friendly, helpful and speaks English well.

Room tip: As it says on their website (every helpful) room 8,9, 10 and 11 are elevated and have a nicer view.

Charlies Bungalows are about a dozen newly built bungalows not far from Ko Sichang marina. The staff were welcoming from the begining and really they couldn't have done more to accomadate the mrs, myself and our three kids. We had two bungalows next to each other. The wall-mounted LCD televsions and free wi-fi made sure we could keep in touch with the world. Charlies doesn't have a resturant, but the islands best place to eat is just across the road.

Ko Sichang (not to be confused with the much larger Ko Chang)is outside the main tourist hot spots so she has kept her charm. I would guess that there are under 1000 inhabitants on the island who mainly work in fishing and shipping. This is what makes Ko Sichang so awesome. She's a working island and the people haven't been hardened by, nor do they rely heavily on the tourist industry. This is not a place like Samui, Phuket, or the dreaded Pattaya. The topography on the island is mountains, with a small beach with crystal clear waters. Snorkling gear can be rented on the beach. Charlies Bungalow is not on the beach, but by far the best way to see the island is to hire a scooter, or perhaps hire a tuk-tuk driver for the day. There are some fantastic viewpoints on this island. A fantastic chinese temple sits up in the mountains.

Great island, great bungalows. We will be back next year.
