we had a wonderful time at the naviti some of my family members have never been out of the country, even though a fire went through destroyed a few shops and restaurants it didnt stop the staff treating you like royalty especial if you spoken hello and thankyou in Fijian
The restaurants were set up in under cover building on the grounds near where they had smorgasbord meals 3 times a day.
we wouldnt go anywhere else as the staff make you feel at home you dont get that at our resorts i been too.
i believe when the buildins are rebuilt in nov next nov 2014 they will be overwhelmed by guest.

What a fabulous experience and well worth the trip from Nadi.
We travelled to the resort rom Nadi in a rental car, Taxis are also available for a cost between $100-130.
Arrival is swift, quick, and welcoming. This includes an amazing drive into the resort with lush greenery and golf course on presentation.

There are 3 levels of accommodation both on the left and right flanks of the premises, however as I am sure you will realise by now only the right side is mainly used at present due to the interference of the fire destroyed buildings that are in the middle of the complex. The left flank of the Resort now mainly accommodates the shop, travel desks, day spa, Doctor, and overflow living spaces.

We stayed in the second level on the bed and breakfast package which is on the same level as the walkway from the reception which is helpful when you travel with a baby and a pram. There is one elevator that is necessary to use with a pram when you need to travel to ground level to access the eating, activities, and beach areas. Plenty of stairs otherwise.

The rooms are not flash, but comfortable, fine for our needs. There is a lot of humidity present so having your a/c on is helpful to keep the floors dry and your clothing. We only discovered this trick out at the end of our stay as we prefer having natural air circulating the room. The decks are lovely and look over gardens and or beach. As for living spaces, there are also individual Bures that are much closer to the beach, present with more trimmings and general new feel etc, however are more expensive and I was interested in taking advantage of the heavily discounted rooms on offer at time of booking.

A lot of patrons appear to take advantage of the all you can eat / drink packages. We didn't as the maths didn't seem to add up to me, however possibly a good option if your planning on having every meal at the resort and plan to have a beverage in your hand by the pool for all day and night hours. Given we did have a car we visited some of the local restaurants as the prices are good and food a little different than on offer at the Resort, plus a nice change in scenery. The food in general at the resort is good. Our favourite for flavour and presentation was the Chinese Restaurant which is not part of the food package, this is also a semi formal restaurant somewhat removed from the main resort areas, positioned idyllically next to the Naviti golf course. Golf by the way is also part of the package, not the most challenging of courses, all 3 par, club hire is a little expensive when you see the clubs you will play with at $40 a set and $15 green fees for guests not on a food package.

Activities Bure is welcoming and well planned. Kids club is very popular the staff are excellent. The gym is well resourced that cost F$15 per room per stay. Kayaks and snorkeling are available to explore the man made island lagoon and outer reef. The pool is large and has a swim up bar which seems very popular. Table tennis and volleyball also set up. Next to the resort is a local village which has some massage and hair braiding businesses which are worth a visit. Don’t forget majority of the staff walk in these local villages so supporting them is a good thing.

The sister resort Warwick is located very near by. The mini bus will take you there for $5 run. The Warwick is well worth spending some time at. Why go... possibly the best beach reef i have EVER swam at, the snorkeling is fabulous, very much at par with the Great Barrier Reef. They also have kayaks available for your use. They also have an amazing looking island restaurant out on the reef that you can walk across too.

Don't forget to bring your smile and leave your worries at home. The Fijian staff are wonderful and will make your stay very memorable. If you are travelling with a baby expect the baby to receive lots of hugs and be nursed by caring house keepers and waiters etc, this is normal and for you not to be concerned. Our 2.5 month old spent learnt a lot of waitering skills at breakfast time!!

There is also an ANZ ATM on site for currency needs.
I certainly plan to return in the near future.

Room Tip: The Coral Coast is amazing to stay at, possibly better than the tourist magnet of Denarau. We asked...

We have just returned from our first visit to Fiji and had a fabulous 7 nights at the beautiful Naviti Resort. Our ocean view room was really spacious with a fabulous balcony. Breakfast buffet had a great selection and for lunch and dinner we really enjoyed dining outside at the Grill Restaurant and the Chinese food in the Bamboo Terrace was brilliant. Staff are so friendly, like long lost friends, and very attentive to both adults and children alike. The all inclusive package was fabulous and fuss free. Pool and swim up bar are amazing and really well kept, as is the rest of the hotel (but watch the slippery pool tiles for the little ones!)
A big shout out to Harry in Activities and Kesaia in the Spa - a real asset to the team. The huts on the beach run by the villagers next door are brilliant offering local handicrafts, hair brading and much more for a bargain price- a really nice way to give back to the community. We'll be back for sure!

Room Tip: The upstairs ocean view room (room 530) was great with a toddler for a bit of containment. Garden vi...

We were greeted by friendly staff and beautiful surroundings on our first visit to the Naviti. The grounds are so well maintained, and front foyer welcoming, that you know you have found your little piece of paradise.

Check in was quick enough and informative. Having purchased the All inclusive and arriving at dinner time, we were very ready to unpack discover and eat. Our room seemed far away from the foyer but with the pool centrally located it suit my family of 2 adults and 3 kids perfectly. We had 2 bedrooms which were interconnected on the ground level. Was great to have the 2 bathrooms and privacy when we need it. Beds were comfortable and rooms large, the towels were thick and fluffy too. Housekeeping services were friendly, efficient and left beautiful little gestures of flowers to pretty up our room. We loved the water pressure of the showers and they were large enough to fit a couple people. Bath tubs were also in both bathrooms, for families with small children.

My family loved the food options presented at each buffet. The variety had enough for everyone to be happy. We enjoyed the different curries, meat options, fresh salads etc. Breakfast was popular with the roti curry wrap, Crepes, egg station and beautiful fruits. We didn't use any other restaurants, but will next time.

We used Kids Club each night for our kids, who are 9, 10 & 11, and they enjoyed meeting new friends and the staff, Jesse, Koto, Simon etc. we did use them one afternoon also when we decided to have reflexology done by the beautiful and funny ladies in the blue hut, along the beach to the right of the resort.

Family loved swimming to the pontoons , kayaking, volleyball, chess, the pool and lazing around.

If you would like to gave drinks in your room, I would recommend buying water at the airport on arrival in bulk and if you want alcohol, do that also prior to arrival. We took reef shoes for swimming in the ocean, as there are some rocks in the lagoon area and you can walk a fair distance out on the very low tide.

It goes without saying, that the staff from the foyer, to the restaurants, maintenance, gardeners, housekeeping, kids club, activities, bars, musicians, entertainers and travel and convenience store were all friendly and obliging and certainly made our holiday even more special.

We truly loved our stay at The Naviti. Vinaka vaka levu.

My partner and I stayed here from 23-28 October 2013. Naviti is a lovely resort, with a great pool, nice comfortable spacious rooms and friendly staff. The food is average to poor, which is typical of standard Fijian fare. I was disappointed there wasn't more traditional Fijian on offer, like Kokoda fish, but there was always plenty of fruit available so that was a plus.

Our favourite parts of our stay were having a round of golf on the well maintained course, going out on the boat for a snorkelling trip (you won't get to see the fish if you don't go out into the lagoon - straight off the beach is only sand and no coral), and having drinks on our large balcony every night.

Areas for improvement are:
- There is only one bar open at night and it is inside the main restaurant. If you want to sit out under the stars in the evening and have a nice cocktail or beer you basically have to find a piece of the garden to sit on and keep going back to the bar as there is no outside seating bar area. This would be a major improvement for us, as for couples I think having a drink under the stars with a view of the beach is a massive draw-card. We ended up sitting on our balcony after dinner with our own drinks so we didn't have to sit inside a family buffet restaurant with kids running around to enjoy each others company. This is also the only resort I have been to in Fiji that has no outdoor drinks/bar area.

- The swim up bar was great during the day (was closed every night after 6pm) however our entire stay it seemed there beer taps were broken. So frustrating to watch the poor staff struggling to please the customers ordering beers from their all-inclusive food and beverage package. Once again, we ended up giving up on this even though we purchased the all inclusive package.

I understand that Naviti recently had a fire and is still undergoing renovations. If they opened an outdoor bar for the night time with seating, possibly some music or activities more suited for adults that would be great and we would definitely be back. It felt like at night the younger child-free adults were at a bit of a loss to have something to do outside of sitting in our room.

My Wife and I recently returned from the Naviti we were supposed to fly out on the Wednesday but we got a phone call from the travel agents to say Fiji air had cancelled the flight giving us two day's notice. We had booked our train fares and accommodation In Sydney and for the return All up we were out of pocket about $1000 as we had to stay another night in Sydney and we lost a night at the Naviti Fiji Air Took 60 Day's before they responded to my claim all they will reimburse me is one extra night in Sydney.
I was very impressed With the food pavilions and the quality off the food I Can't praise the staff enough we are on first name terms. We will return for 14 nights February 2014
I can recommend the all inclusive as it is great value being a ex Scot I would know, we are so much looking to go back and see our many friends.

Stayed here 2 nights with several family members (booked 5 rooms). As a resort, the grounds and beach/pool area are very well kept, the staff are friendly and attentive, and it has a relaxed atmosphere. The ocean view from the rooms are fantastic.

The resort offers a good buffet breakfast as part of the room rate and offers free meals for kids (for one hour).

We dined as a group and overall felt the dinner meal at the Ocean Terrace Restaurant was bland and overpriced for the small serves. The seafood buffet costs F$85 and was mainly fish dishes, black shell mussels (from NZ?), calamari, curry crab. There was no kokoda (lime marinated raw fish in coconut milk) included in the buffet as it is part of the lovo night.

The Chinese restaurant, also on the hotel premises, was much better. We tried the braised prawns; steamed fish; beef dish; chicken/noodle dishes which were good. The crabs were not impressive as there was very little meat in it.

Although we made our hotel bookings well in advance, the hotel reception had us booked in for Nov (a month later) but this was quickly rectified by the staff. Luckily we had a printout of the hotel confirmation which had a reference number which helped solve the problem faster.

Also the shower heads in the rooms shoots water in all directions.

Room Tip: Ocean view rooms are great. Its faster and prettier to walk through the hotel grounds to the rooms.
