The Pedros Point Lookout is in a quiet decent Residential Area, it's the ideal spot for escapers like myself that needs relaxation after a day to day full time job as a Nurse in USA. My third trip to Jamaica promising myself to escape the overfull beach and massive tourist. Searching for the ideal spot, the Pedros lookout was introduced by a friend that had spend 2 weeks there last winter. I make the contact and landed in Montego Bay, where I was picked up and from there it was only Paradise. The 5 Bedroom Villa accommodate everyone, it's Family friendly, with a large garden around the villa, great for watching birds, lizards, butterflies etc. With the most wonderful view I ever seen, the beach is right before your eyes, with just 5 minutes walk to reach, you can encounter with a few generous/ cultural natives, otherwise you might just spend your beach moments just alone on that small cove of white sand. The villa has a Pool, when you lay in, it appears like you are in the cloud over the ocean. This trip was the best I ever had, Derrick the Manager took me on some tours around the beautiful island, breathtaking!!!. From now on I will be a guest for that place. MY ADVISE::: For a quiet, relaxing peaceful mind. Great home meal prepare before your eyes. Great Tours/ Sightseeing.. Go to Pedros point villa. For information call Derrick +1876 8475570. Are looked it up on Facebook: Derrick M.jones.

Room Tip: Minisuite is wonderful, facing the pool and ocean. It's bright and hast a great overlook.

So happy we stayed at Pedro's Point Villa. Travelling as a single parent with two children is not a easy thing especially in Jamaica. First of all the house-apartments are very secure, and in a nice area. Derek/Mike/Slick is great he took the time to tell us and even show us neat things about the area and Jamaica (including night hunting for land crab). We came as strangers and left as family......my 7yr old even asked "If I don't ask for anything for Christmas can we please come back here." I HIGHLY recommend staying at Pedro's Point!. Thanks for the great memories @ Everyone at Pedro's Point :)

P.S. Derek also runs tours and was really helpful and honest about what tours were good, and it's value.....really appreciated that!.

Pedro's Point Villa is one of the most tranquil places that I have been to in the Negril area. The view is absolutely incredible. The rooms are very clean and the staff is very friendly and they take care of all your needs. There is a pool that over looks the sea - the sunsets are gorgeous and the stars are amazing. Just a short walk down the hill there is a very small, but beautiful beach. In the neighborhood, there are some small food shops and bars - enough to manage. If you need to go anywhere or you want to take a trip to see the beautiful island, Derrick will make all the necessary arrangements and drive you. A perfect get away if you are looking to get away from the usual tourist areas like Negril and Montego Bay.

Room Tip: Book early - it is a small property and the rooms fill up fast during season.

Myself and a girlfriend of mine were introduced to "mike" (derrick michael Jones) from a friend in negril. Mike invited us to his villa for 1 night (with no prior agreement regarding money). It was easier for him to have us stay the night as he was going with us to dunns river falls in the morning. So for him to drive in the morning to get us at our hotel was inconvenient.
Mikes charming personality and seemingly intelligent conversation lead us to believe we could trust him.
We had a great day.
Then upon returning to pedros 's villa...he demanded we pay him $400 usd. (This was after we had bought food, drinks, and put gas in his car. He became irate and LOCKED us on his property. He told us he was going to leave us there for a couple days and there was nothing we could do about it.
He tried to put fear in us by telling us that people get shot and the cops never do anything.
Mike was an absolute tyrant, the if, & liar. He is a very dangerous person.
We eventually were able to get the police to come & find us. We had to give the police mikes license plate number & it lead them right to Pedro villa.
My advice to everyone is to stay away from this guy at all cost.

It started off great, beautiful view, nice room.. but was continually bombarded with "extra" services that me or my friend didn't need, nor want.

In short, after we denied Slick, Mike whatever for the last time the hospitality got cut right from under us. No more milking us for money, no more nice guy.

We were very independent even paid for our own toilet tissue, but since we weren't using their extra services they gave us a bill for even the water!

We were young and first time to jamaica but no fools or born yesterday. The spot is so beautiful the money will come in naturally... there was no need for the hustle.

I had spend 3 weeks holiday at the PEDROSPOINTVILLA, Lanes bay, Jamaica. Wow , it was the best holiday of my 10th trip to Jamaica. My family and i had already plan the next which will be in a few months. Everyone was friendly and helpful. our 2 kids (son & Daughter) had the best time in their live. We had took the 7 days round de Island tour with Kerstin and her driver, which is a unforgetable week in our life. We had seen places that even the natives had never a chance to see. Every thing was gorgeous.
The Private chef at the pedrospoint had cook us our daily Breakfast & Dinner. There i had learn to make real Jamaican cuisine which i had prepared at home with my family and friends, Finger licking. If you choose a place to stay outside the massive tourist resort choose the Pedrospoint. (Here are a few pictures we had taken of the Villa & tours)

I just returned from a wonderful week at Pedro's Point Villa. It is located near the small town of Lucea--definately away from the crowds of Mo Bay or Negril, but only 3/4- 1 hour if you want to go. I traveled with my husband and 13 year old son. This is our second visit, the first one was in Jan 2007. This villa is owned by a German hostess, she lives in part of the villa and rents out 3 other apartments. While we were there, we were the only visitors. There are some local staff-a maid, gardener and a driver/chef. The apartment is spacious, with one bedroom, a kitchen, large bathroom, very large living area and a storage closet. It is clean and bright. The villa is on a high cliff right on the sea. The view is spectacular. You can see the fishing boats in the morning, the sailboats and tankers all day and cruise ships at night. The gardens are lush, the infinity pool is lovely and the view... did I mention the view is spectacular? We did 2 day trips with the villa staff. One was a unique trip through the mountains of Jamaica, on rough washed out roads--making it impassible for the large tourist buses, but their Toyota 4 wheel drive managed them fine. We climbed the Mayfield Falls and swam in the "Blue Hole" both off the beaten track and not at all crowded but very beautiful. We also spent a day walking on Negril beach--it is gorgeous, but very touristy, the villa is quiet and private. The beach near the villa is a 10 minute walk, but definitely worth it. Lovely gentle sloped entrance and white sand. Several times we had it to ourselves, or shared it with a family or two of local people--all of whom were friendly and had no interest in selling us anything of bothering us in any way. We chose to make our own breakfast and lunch, and had the chef-Derrick- cook our dinners. Every day he asked for our requests and we had some wonderful meals. The seafood was caught fresh each day, and fresh fruit/veggies were bought at the market. We tried custard apples, jackfruit, and soursop juice!! At all times whether with the villa folks or on our own we felt perfectly safe. The neighbourhood (Pedro) was a community of mansions on a hill. Lots of guard dogs, goats and friendly people. Here's a few notes if you go: 1. Take cash, the banks in Lucea aren't used to traveler's cheques. 2. Take some food if you plan to cook for yourself. We took peanut butter, coffee, sugar, teabags, cereal to get us started for the first day or so.Then we shopped in Lucea. 3. Ask for prices up front so you there are no unexpected costs. Eg. our ride from the airport was included but the ride back was extra. 4. Bring earplugs for sleeping if you are bothered by treefrogs singing. 5. If you are looking for exciting nightlife, this is not the place for you. We had a great time playing dominoes and watching movies.
