While walking the great glen way friday 4th july 2014 with 5 other ladies we came across a small sign advertising tea and coffee, we went down into the briar bank b&b to be greeted by the owners who quickly showed us in to conservetory they could not have been more helpful and welcoming. we had teas and and coffee and shortbread for a very reasonable price. We were shown round the rooms and dinning area that are of very high standards and if we could have would most definately have stayed over. we had a photo taken with nessie and a claymore before being waved on our way. would highly recommend anyone to stay here on the banks of loch ness. A great big 10/10

After visiting Edinburgh and couple of nights in Brae Lodge Guest House (which I recommend) our four person group of friends went on a two days trip. The trip leaded through Inverness, Fort Augustus, Fort William and back to Edinburgh. There was great stay at Briar Bank B&B at Loch Ness, all thanks to friendly hosts and great location providing plenty of tourism opportunities. And most importantly we saw the famous monster - unfortunately it was very far away, but the host showed us a little monster, probably a child or grandchild of the famous. Worth to stay place - recommend.

We had booked into the B&B a day or so before to break up a long arduous walk on the Great Glen Way. When we got tired, running very late, weather turning nasty and feeling miserable Duncan came to the rescue and picked us up in his car to drop us off at the accommodation.

He and May just could not do enough for us, food amazing and in quantity too. Duncan is a real character too.

Looking forward to going back in a month when next passing.

Spent a night here after the owners kindly had taken us in late on.
Room was brilliant, clean, and warm.
Gd shower facilities and woke up to a tasty scottish breakfast and a whisky coffee ;)
Views of the loch at breakfast was stunning, and the owner is a complete gent/character.
Couldnt recomend highly enough 5 stars.

This is a great B&B. Such nice, friendly and helpful hosts.
Located on the western shore of Loch Ness some kilometers from the nearest town you might need a car to get here. It is worth the drive though.
We enjoyed the family room which had a nice porch with views of Loch Ness.
Free Wi-Fi avalible. TV with plenty of channels in each room. Spotless clean.
Great breakfast (and plenty of it) served with a smile and a good story or two.
Don't forget to watch out for Nessie... Duncan will tell you how whisky might help you lure Nessie out of the water :-)
The next time we go to Scotland we'll return to Briar Bank.

Did not have reservations and it was beginning to get late when we stopped to inquire as to vacancy. May responded most hospitably and shortly after settling in, Duncan had cooked up a fabulous meal. Even better than the food (which didn't seem things could improve) was the great conversation with our hosts. Breakfast the next morning was just as tasty. Our room was small but impeccably clean.

We stayed with Duncan and May at only a few hours notice whilst we where kayaking the Great Glen canoe trail. They made us feel very at home and we enjoyed a hearty home made evening meal with them - 3 courses for only £8pp. Breakfast, included in the £20pp B&B price was delicious and full.

There is access to a conservatory and meals are shared in the family dining room, all of which is very nice. Our room was clean, warm and quiet, but dated (However, the owners are planning to renovate soon).

Duncan and May went above and beyond what we could have expected to ensure that we had everything we needed and t help us continue with our trip to Scotland. It was a pleasure to hear their local tales and we will definitely be back if we're in the area again. Thank you both!

Room Tip: Request a front bedroom for a view of Loch Ness!
