Excellent trip to a gorgeous castle. A must see if you are in Scotland. Went there with kids over half term. Kids enjoyed exploring and we had a lovely walk outside the castle too. The views are breathtaking!

We visited on the 27th May 2021. Booking via online only. Plenty of parking, cafe near the carpark has a range of decent food. Behind the carpark, there is a little shed selling the castle guidebooks, £5 each. Steep steps going down and up, your knees will cry for mercy. The castle entrance may as well be a computer as it's just scan and pass, no customer service whatsoever. One way system in place. As you're climbing to the top, there are signboards with information. When you get to the top, there's lots to see, there's a fair bit of information on boards bobbing around. Toilets available are nice, no hot water, just cold though. We took our time and spent about 2 and a half hours here
