The views are beautiful and its lovely place to visit. Was able to bring our dog and also visit the beach after we had been in. A place to buy food was in car park. Not bad price for entry at £8.00.

There must be very few castles in the world with a location as stunning as that of Dunnotar Castle. This beautiful ruin is set on a huge rock sitting out to sea which is only accessible via lots of steps. However, it is more than worth the climb. There are various areas to look at, each with a view either out to see or into the adjoining small bays. The ruins are fascinating and it is wonderful to imagine how the castle must have been when it was occupied.

Absolutely worth the drive, I would say this is one of the world's must-see castles.

Simply stunning, the whole experience from first view was completely captivating.
The steps to enter and leave the castle could be quite challenging for older and younger visitors, but worth the effort and very much part of the whole experience. Will definitely be visiting again and again and again.

Excellent trip to a gorgeous castle. A must see if you are in Scotland. Went there with kids over half term. Kids enjoyed exploring and we had a lovely walk outside the castle too. The views are breathtaking!
