“A gem on the east coast of Scotland!”
Reviewed 28 August 2017 for a stay in August 2017

It was a perfect stay at the Northend Cottage.
The cottage is amazingly located and within several minutes of driving there are several wonderful places of the National Trust for Scotland (we do recommend incredible tour of the Haddo House and stunning gardens of Crathes Castle).
The cottage is a gem. It is very cosy, perfectly equipped and nicely furnished with plenty of admirable marine oddments and assorted bric-a-brac.
The surroundings are perfect with magnificent sea views, especially for those who love to stroll on the pebble beach.
The only nuisance in the cottage was overgrown shrubbery at the front of sun porch which almost completely obliterated the sea views from there.
Debbie (the manager) was very kind and responded to every enquiry within minutes.
We do recommend the Northend Cottage and we will definitely return there in the future.

Hi, so glad you enjoyed your stay. In response to your comments we have cut back the shrubs on the hillside so future guests will enjoy a uninterrupted view of the full bay.
The shrubs seem to have benefited from the mild wet summer we have had this year and taken an extraordinary growth spurt :-)

Well equipped comfortable cottage with sea views. Peaceful. Short walk to the Creel Inn - our regular dinner venue.
Beautiful surrounding countryside. Lovely coastal and woodland walks nearby.
Great opportunities for observing the local wildlife.
A great place to enjoy fresh air, local seafood and nice walks.

Spent 3 nights at this lovely cottage and it was fab - scenery was amazing, watching the seals while sitting in the sun porch and eating out at The Creel restuarant along the path was very enjoyable. A great find.

“comfortable, cosy, quite and peacefully located accommodation.”
Reviewed 4 September 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Well equipped cottage offering quite retreat in stunning setting. The only disadvantage, for those people who need nocturnal visits to the toilet, is that the loo is located on the ground floor. Otherwise, the cottage is very good and near good eating places and sites of interest.

“Beautiful cottage with stunning views”
Reviewed 5 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

What a delightful cottage, beautifully presented, cosy, well equipped and welcoming of dogs!

We had a short stay here in chilly March but the cottage was toasty (the stove in the living room is terrific). It was the perfect base for our visit, and extremely handy for the Creel Inn - pub and restaurant. Loved it!
