Not much to see here, it's pleasant and full of smooth pebbles however there are nicer sand beaches around the area towards the castle. It's nice as a starting point towards Dunnottar castle

Has a great walk way to stroll from one end to the other and the harbour is very pretty. There are loads of places to eat at either end

Stonehaven is a quiet seaside town with it's own natural beauty. The beach changes regularly with the tides. Sometimes lots of sand and sometimes lots of stones depending on the strength of the tides. This in itself makes Stoney beach a must to visit as it changes so often and shows it's natural beauty. I love to walk the beach with my brother and my sister in law and not forgetting their loveable labradoodle, Ellie. She loves the beach, lt's her favourite place to walk. After your refreshing walk along both the beaches you can stop at Stonehaven Bowling Club for a lovely hot coffee, the best in Stoney in my opinion. There you will get a friendly welcome and meet some really nice people. Mineral Well Park is also a nice place to take a walk around. Lots of people to chat with andvexercise your dog. Stonehaven is just a nice unspoiled seaside town with lots of friendly people.

We were brought up in Stonehaven and now when we come back we try to remember places etc. One thing the beach never does is change, ok maybe the boardwalk wasn't around, but memories of playing chicken at the sea wall or pushing shingle "cliffs" into the Cowie is still there!
Enjoy it before they tax it!
