This B and B was a great find. We enjoyed our stay here very much, the room was exceptionally clean, as was the bathroom. We loved the view over the shore. It was easy walking distance to everything, from the famous fish and chip shop to the homely pubs and restaurants.Breakfast was excellent and our host was friendly with good hints and tips of places in the area.

We had a fab evening with good friends - with dinner and a few drams in a local restaurant.
Recommend this B & B and take a chance on Stonehaven its a hidden gem .

Room Tip: ask for a room with a view over the shore - fabulous view to wake up too .

My husband & I only stayed here one night but would most definitely stay again if in the area. Our host Alan warmly welcomed us and made sure that if we needed anything to just let him know. The very spacious bedroom and in suite bathroom was very clean. We had a beautiful view from our window of the beach which we loved. We also liked it because it was with in walking distance of several local pubs/restaurants as well as the downtown area. The breakfast menu had a nice verity and the food was delicious. We would definitely recommend this B&B if you are going to be in Stonehaven.

We stayed here on the basis of other reviews and it certainly lived up to the best of the previous trip advisor reviews. The owner could not be more welcoming to the point of asking if we had ever visited Stonehaven previously, we hadn't. He then usefully highlighted the local attractions for us. The breakfast was superb.

We enjoyed two nights at Beachgate. Very comfortable bed in a room at the front of the guest house overlooking the beach. Spotless, spacious bathroom. Our host- Alan, and hostess - Margaret, were friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfast menu; our choices were delicious. We were welcomed and well looked after.

We stayed only for one night before our return to Aberdeen airport. The B&B is not hard to find, but is at the end of a very narrow road. Off-road parking is available, small but manageable. Alan was a very nice host with lots of good tipps and we had some nice chats.
The room (we stayed on the first floor with a view to the promenade and the sea) was small, but enough for two, and nicely furbished. The sea is right outside, you can easily walk the waterfront to the harbor. The center of Stonehaven with a number of restaurants and shops is five minutes away.
We can't say much about breakfast, only had tea and some toast because we had to leave early for the airport. But what we had was very good and freshly done.
