Tupana lodge was wonderful! It is far from Manaus and well worth the trip to get to this pristine isolation. The setting is really beautiful in the middle of a flooded forest. We swam everyday and even kayaked along with the dolphins in front of the lodge. There was a good combination of activities ( fishing, trekking, caiman spotting etc) and relaxation time.
The host Walter and the other staff were very knowledgable and concerned about the fragile ecosystem. They were also kind and attentive to all our needs. For my kids, the star was Nicholas the baby wooly monkey that hangs around the place!
We stayed for 4 days and we were extremely sad to leave!More
