Had a great time at Tariri, highly recommend and looking forward to get back some day. The owners are very friendly ! No air conditioning, no TV, no internet, no hot showers, no usage of hair dryers, wich brings you the feeling of a jungle experience. The food is simple and delicious ! Specially the fresh fishes. The owners Fabiola and Germano make from Tariri an even more special place. We loved the monkeys, so adorable to play with them. Loved also to swim in the warm waters of Acajatuba, where the lodge is located and pretty much enjoyed to experience being in a small, but certainly very special part in Amazonia.

Germano and Fabiola are great hosts, and the staff very attentive and friendly. The meals were interesting, plentiful, delicious and varied and included local fish and fruits and dishes. Activities- jungle trek, caiman viewing, piranha fishing, beach, dolphins, sharing a hammock with the frisky pet monkeys and the jungle noises at night, I loved every minute.

Room Tip: When looking up from the river, cabins to the left of the Dining Room are a monkey free zone.

we also stayed between games during the World Cup. Fantastic place. I had stayed at the Eco lodge closer to Manaus previously and thought I was experiencing the Amazon. Now after becoming a bit more oriented with the area, I realize the Eco lodge was more like pitching a tent in your backyard rather than heading out into the wilderness. Tariri Lodge is not in the middle of the Amazon but far enough from Manaus to get the feel of the Wilderness. We had a truly wonderful experience. Rooms were clean and quiet, food was good and bountiful, hosts were friendly and accommodating. The bonus were the monkeys. We all fell in love with Mino, a baby monkey that had lost his mom and the lodge was caring for. So adorable.

Room Tip: All rooms were good

We stayed recently at Tariri Lodge during the World Cup and were excited! Germano and Fabiola are two great hosts! They made our stay very enjoyable and exciting! The lodge offers more than you would expect from a lodge in the jungle! The apartments are small but very clean, no animals in the apartment. Clean water / shower, etc. The food is splendid and offers you a good taste of local fruits etc. The various trips and activities give you a good impression of (animal) life in the jungle. No mosquitos at all! 3-4 days are just perfect for getting the jungle experience!

I looked at Trip advisor before booking and boy I was not disappointed.
Everything was perfect. From my pick up from my hotel in MAnaus to dropping off it went swimmingly smooth. The lodge is approximately 2 hours from Manaus. 1hr and 20m in the car and a 40m boat ride to the lodge. Germano and Faboila are there to welcome you with a cold drink and they are the most perfect hosts you could possibly get. The room was spacious with clean sheets, towel and a toilet. The tours are not compulsory and Germano made all the arrangements to accomodate individual wishes. If you don't want to do anything, just use one of the hammocks in the verandah of your room or the front of the hotel and its just so quiet and peaceful. There is no internet access or mobile access and that was fantastic. They do have a television. I have to recommend the Brazilian food made by Fabiola. Everything is fresh and as homely as it can get. Fabiola is a fantastic cook and her cakes and the desserts are to die for. There is such a variety, you wonder if you are really in the Amazon! There is coffee, tea and fresh juice all the time and you can buy beer there. Thy can rustle up a mean caiparinia and do try it when there.
I had a great time there and did everything I possibly could and everything was amazing.
Thank you Germano and Fabiola for a fantastic experience.

Our stay at Tariri Lodge was the highlight of our travel in Brazil. The ultimate Amazon experience. The lodge is well laid out and immaculate. The accomodations are simple but it has everything you need. Germano, Fabiola and their family are lovely and welcoming. The animals they have on-site are wonderful. Chica, Kawa and Mino (the monkeys) were a highlight. They are so cute and playful. An amazing experience for us to interact with them. Lala the parrot, Princessa the dalmation and other birds and dogs definitely added to our stay. Fabiola's cooking is delicious with freshly baked bread and handmade desserts everyday. Beautiful fish and chicken along with salad and vegetables from their garden. It was the best Brazilian food we ate the entire vacation. Germano and his Dad are very knowledgeable guides as well as fun companions. From pirana fishing to cayman spotting, it was very well done and lots of fun. Their little compound in the Amazon is idyllic. It is easy to relax into the rythm of life there as you nap in a hammock or just hang out on the lanai and watch the beautiful scenery. We couldn't have been happier with our stay and highly recommend this very civilized, yet authentic jungle experience. Our family will never forget our time at Tariri.

The perfect amazon experience, after researching where to stay in the Amazon we decided to pick Tariri as it had such great reviews and we were not disappointed! From the welcoming hosts Germano and Fabiola, to the delicious food and guided tours everything about the Tariri experience was great. My husband and I travel a lot and stay in 4+ stars hotels so luxury is what I look for but for the Amazon we wanted something rustic and really disconnect from the outside world and Tariri exactly hit the spot.

The rooms are basic, there is no hot water, no internet, no cell phone reception and really this is what made the experience such an amazing one. If you're looking to disconnect and really relax this is definitely the place to go. There were surprisingly no mosquitos around the lodge except on our hike in the forest where there were tons of mosquitos (wear long pants and long sleeve shirt). During the day they kept us busy with guided tours and they even arranged to have a local take my husband out for more fishing which he loved. We were always full from all the meals and Fabiola makes a mean caipirinha (brazil's national cocktail).

Our stay in the Amazon was definitely the highlight of our trip to Brazil!
