Spectacular view! An imposing piece of nature which spreads in two levels pouring into a canyon. There is a path which lead near the waterfall and a platform from where you can take wonderful photos

This place is just incredible, so so beautiful! The scenery is amazing. Must see! However beware of the steps you need to climb to get down to the viewing platform, when we visited it was a snowy day and all the steps had turned icy, very dangerous!

Using Reykjavik excursions, we visited the falls on a cold December afternoon, shortly before sunset. Regardless of the light, it was a great experience and you can see why the site is so important to the National Park. It is well worth seeing as part of an overall tour of places within the park, but a long way to go if you are only visiting this one location.

I've seen a few other 'foss' on tours around Iceland and wasn't sure what to expect, since all of the guidebooks and Golden Circle tours say that Gulfoss is a 'must-see'. We arrived late afternoon in the last half hour of sunlight, took a winding path down to the falls and was blown away by the sheer size of the falls. It's a great site (if windy and cold) and is definitely worth a visit. The restaurant also does a great meat soup which was recommended by our guide Astor, and it didn't disappoint. It was a great last stop before heading back to the city and was worth the 2 hour drive (jt's around 105-120 minutes by coach from Reykjavik).

What a spectacle! Spent a lovely few hours at Gullfoss spent most of it in awe at how big it was! Great little café and shop nearby, a must if you're on the Golden Circle tour
