Room: Incredible, clean, overlooking the most amazing sweeping landscape
Restaurant: Wonderful food, where you can watch the cows where you eat!
Staff: Really helpful and nice to talk to.

Overall: If you go to Iceland, you should stay here.

A group of ladies visited this restaurant as part of our private tour, it certainly exceeded our expectations, Lovely setting and fantastic food. Well worth a visit. Didn't stay here so cannot comment on any of the accommodation

The whole family went for a one-night stay at Efsti-dalur and we simply loved it! The service is excellent, everybody smiling and friendly, almost felt like we were old friends. We watched the cows, and got up close to the calfs. The Icecream barn has the most amazing homemade icecream and very good waffles. The food at the restaurant was good, and the portions were just right. Had a 2 year old with us that enjoyed every minute of our stay, and he wasn't the only one. Would recommend to anyone that wanted to get away for a bit to stay in this beautiful location.

We were upgraded to a very nice room with a bathroom. All wooden walls, floors and a tiled bathroom. the room was basic, but plenty of storage space including a large built in desk area, plenty of shelves and nooks for your things, and two large chairs with a table and lamp. We were in room 3 and the window overlooked the countryside. No TV and the radio wasn't working, but we simply used our computer for music. WiFi is only in the main building.

While it's completely normal, there is a smell of sulfur when you shower, it's very strong and may even be overpowering to some. We found it just another unique thing about Iceland...and once you dry, the smell leaves your body...so you DON'T walk around stinking like sulfur...

Dinner is in a large concrete building with windows that overlook a cow stable. the dinner was good...a nice steak and potato combo with mushroom soup was perfect after days of Cod and other seafood. the waitress/hostess/receptionist said her family has been on the farm for many, many years...apparently since the 1800's.

Breakfast was your typical Icelandic fare...and very good. There was a nice dog that greeted us when we arrived and stuck around while we unpacked the car. the weather was rather poor so we can't say much for the view, but I bet it overlooks large fields and farms in the area.

Room Tip: If you can get a room with a bathroom, it will make your stay more enjoyable. We've been lucky and upgraded at each place we've stayed, apparently because we've come during the late season.

Comfortable accommodation in prefabricated trusses. Excellent location to visit the golden circle. Full breakfast with homemade products and a view of the barn with cows. Good restaurant for those who want to book dinner maybe the supper service would be a bit 'to improve as well as dishes that create a lot of expectation (beacause of creative names) but we were a bit 'disappointed.
