“Wonderful Cottage!”
Reviewed 11 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

I came here with my boyfriend and family for a long weekend in the Peak District.
The cottage was perfect! Very spacious (enough space for 8 people) with every little thing you would need (for example- 4 showers!). Karen and Peter were particularly welcoming providing us with chocolate and flapjack on arrival. It is in the heart of the Peak District so we were able to reach many places from there. It was a very reasonable price also. We couldn't really fault it! :)

“Perfect in every way!”
Reviewed 30 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

We booked this quirky cottage
for a very special friend,
To celebrate her wedding day and girlie hen weekend.
We brought the food and party games some drinks and tales to tell,
We had a trek in fancy dress on a pub crawl round Tideswell.
We laughed and cried, sang and danced enjoying our time together,
Our weekend at the Wriggly Tin is a memory we'll treasure forever.

Perfect in every way, location, facilities, size, decor, plenty of bathrooms, open fire, great walks, pub near by, parking, helpful owner next door, need I go on! 5*

“Just perfect ”
Reviewed 4 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

Currently spending a fabulous week celebrating family birthdays at the wriggly tin. Karen, our host is fantastic providing lots of info and wonderful welcome treats. The wriggly tin is fabulous, catering brilliantly to the diverse needs of our party. Very well equipt, comfortable, spacious and homely it has be the best possible base for our adventures in the Peak District. We are on the Monsal trail, you walk out of the house, across a quiet road into the car park and there you have 8 1/2 miles of car free walking/biking in the stunning countryside. Close to Bakewell (20mins car or Monsal trail) chats worth house and don't miss the fantastic village of tideswell a beautiful village with shops for all you need for your stay at the wriggly tin. Hope to come back very soon

“Exceeded all expectations!”
Reviewed 15 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

Communication with Karen was brilliant as every e-mail I sent was answered within the hour.I had the difficult task of finding accommodation for a stag weekend in the Peak District, thankfully Karen made it very simple.
The place is vast and was ideal for our large group. On arrival Karen had laid out homemade biscuits and chocolate which was a really nice touch, especially for my friend who had travelled 5 hours from Edinburgh.
Loads of bathrooms, loads of beds, massive dining table, pre-prepared log fire, underfloor heating, WiFi, big TV for the Six Nations rugby plus Sky .. everything we needed was there and the price was so reasonable.
The lads and I were well impressed so thank-you very much to you both. And apologies again for not thoroughly cleaning!

“A fab little place”
Reviewed 16 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We booked the Wriggly Tin for a bank holiday getaway with friends, and I think that we completely fell in love with the place!
After a long drive and spending hours sat in traffic, we were greeted by the owner, bearing homemade flapjacks and bars of dairy milk! We also found that they had kindly unpacked all of our shopping that we'd had delivered.
The place itself was immaculate and I don't think any of us found fault with the rooms/facilities/equipment. The only thing that was a bit dodgy was the Wi-Fi, but we were all secretly grateful for this.
The Wriggly Tin is excellently located for lots of lovely walks, and we made good use of the maps and local information available in the accommodation.
We all had a great time at the Wriggly Tin and would highly recommend it. We didn't want to leave.

“An absolute gem of a place!”
Reviewed 22 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Just come back from a wonderful four night stay here with my husband, son, sister and nephew and we absolutely loved it! The Wriggly Tin is even better in reality than the photos and we were delighted with the welcome and the initial wander around, discovering all it had to offer. It is such a bonus not to have to take all the extras and to be presented with a huge supply of home made flapjack, some milk, loads of tea, coffee and orange juice, big chocolate bars, plus gorgeous fresh roses on the table! We were also able to arrive two hours earlier which was really appreciated.

My husband brought his bike so was able to cycle on the Monsal Trail and we all walked a good stretch of it and it was great to run along it too. Really good to walk through the old tunnels, past old stations and to see the wonderful views.

The Heights of Abraham are well worth a visit too, only 18 miles away with cable cars to take you to the top of a hill with spectacular views of Derbyshire and plenty to do and see at the top. All the details were left for us to find with an abundance of information left by Karen at the Wriggly Tin. We also visited Buxton, Bakewell and Tideswell.

It was always such a pleasure coming back to base and there was so much space for us to not feel on top of each other. The surroundings are really gorgeous too, peaceful and relaxing. Luxury accommodation in a stunning setting, well worth staying and we're so glad we did!

“Possibly the best holiday rental we have stayed in”
Reviewed 2 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We stayed here for a week with our children, grandparents and aunt. The building is fascinating and almost 'tardis-like' as it extends away from the road and down a level. The standard of finish is excellent and the facilities were simply outstanding. We were all very impressed with the area and ease of access. I would like to think we will return to The Wriggly Tin in the future as we only scratched the surface of the Peak District. I would highly recommend The Wriggly Tin.
