“Nice, slow, peaceful place for a break”
Reviewed 8 May 2014

The ride to the island is short and relaxing. Once on the island, be prepared to just wander and enjoy the quiet, the slow pace and the island breezes as you explore on foot. In addition to the natural beauty of the island, you can also find a small cave where St. Francis is said to have slept in 1211, several churches, a lace museum and at least one wonderful restaurant, Da Sauro.

“Lovely peaceful island”
Reviewed 29 April 2014

Well worth a trip from Passignano on the boat, nothing to dislike. Great views of the surrounding villages and lovely walks.

“A short ferry ride from Tuoro”
Reviewed 26 December 2013

Walking in the footsteps of St Francis or going for lunch this island is a must see. we go there each year and love it, it is a small island with restaurants, walking trails, a beautiful old church, and tourist shops.
You can access it by the ferry or a water taxi.
