“Delicious food and lovely waitress!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 August 2014

Our family of 3 stopped by the Tower Bistro while visiting the tower in Dorset. We got a nice spot in the shade on the patio, and it was nice, quiet, and relaxing. We tried the borscht and the three cheese pizza, which were divine. Best of all were the crepes, with cooked banana, almond syrup, and ice cream. We couldn't get enough! Definitely recommend getting the crepes for dessert.
Our waitress, who is also the owner of the Inn, was a very kind lady who afterwards also brought us brochures depicting activities in the area, and explained to us the best attractions and times of year to come. Overall it was a great experience and we will definitely be coming again!

“A Lovely Bistro We Found on TripAdvisor”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 July 2014

A Russian woman was our host, waitress, cook and entertainer. On a rainy day at our cottage in Haliburton we decided to take a short drive, We headed North on Hwy 35 to Dorset, arriving at 12:30 and hungry fro lunch we searched TripAdvisor and discovered the Tower Bistro. The setting was easily found, the owners were wonderfully inviting, the Bistro was beautiful. All second to the food itself. I fully recommend this restaurant to all and worth the drive, trust me!

“Home-made quality”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 December 2013

We stopped in here recently for lunch. Very quiet location, and quiet inside, with a nice fire going in the lounge. Nice country atmosphere, and a very pleasant host/owner who also happens to be a very good cook, and is a nutritionist by profession. The menu is not extensive but with enough variety, and with some interesting options.
I had a burger, and it was home made and very good, as was the chicken noodle soup. (also home made from scratch). My wife had a monte cristo sandwich. The desserts were very tasty with health in mind, so not huge or piled with sugar & fat, but rather a nice sweet touch without being over-the-top. (I had a spiced square with zucchini, blueberries and nuts in it - all desserts also home made). It's worth stopping and trying for yourselves.

“An unexpected pleasure”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 November 2013

Usually, one doesn't equate motel restaurants with "fine dining" and "healthy food" but this restaurant, located at The Nordic Inn in Dorset, proves that wrong. The menu is packed with very tasty, healthy choices, including gluten-free products, something I'm sensitive to because a member of my family has celiac disease. While there, I enjoyed chicken soup, beef stroganoff, paninis, fish and buckwheat pancakes with fresh fruit. Everything was home-made and tasty. It was really convenient to have a good restaurant attached to the motel so you didn't have to travel into town to eat. Owners Marina and Andre were very friendly and accommodating.

“New owners - great service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 September 2012

We did not plan staying in Nordic Inn because we red a year ago about that place. The reviews were not very nice. But it happened that in one of the stores in Dorset we had a conversation about dining in the area. The lady mentioned the Nordick Inn and recommended to eat there because the new owners had transformed the old and dirty motel into a nice and clean place.
We had a great experience! My 7 years old loved the food (mind that this is healthy food restaurant). The menu is balanced, comfortable to understand and make your choice. The owner is a professional nutritionist with a creative approach to food. So if you are a bacon eater or a vegetarian who never tried a quinoa salad, or a sweets lover, you will find something you like there.
