I stay at the Holiday Inn Filton quite alot due to it being close to Bristol Rovers FC! but is also 10-15 mins from the centre. But this hotel would also be good if your in Bristol for a shopping trip as its also close to Cribbs.

The hotel itself is not the most upto date Holiday Inn you will stay in but its clean and the rooms are fine. Bathroom as a Bath/Shower and nice fresh white towels.

Parking is fine and the hotel offers a nice pool and gym. There are work areas for people on business areas and also has a lake for those who want to go fishing. The Hotel has two restaurants, Sampans Oriental, and The Junction, plus a fully licensed lounge and bar. Sadly I havent yet eaten at the hotel so I cant comment on the food.

Hotel was easy to find, food was average , rooms clean and staff very friendly. But.... First night of our stay there was a private function, music was very loud, had to complain to staff they did close fire doors to the area, however didnt help and these doors were opened again by revellers. Second night there was wedding and again alot of loud music, widows are only single glazed. Terrible shame as everything else was good. Just check whats on in the hotel if you want a relaxing , loud music free stay.

We stayed the holiday inn as a base for a visit to Bristol. The hotel was clean, although the little bridge with a pond indoors was a little smelly! But you can hold your breath and walk quickly! We had dinner in the oriental restaurant and it was very good, but had we have not been on a dinner bed and breakfast rate it would have been quite expensive. Everything you would expect from a Holiday Inn.

Stayed in hotel as stopping point for concert in Cardiff. Cost £78 (through HI site) for family room with a double and two single beds - superb value! Very friendly receptionist (Anna) who even remembered to ask how the concert was the following morning. Leisure facilities were excellent and room and hotel in general very clean and tidy.
Only slight downside was cost of bar food which was £31 for one adult and one teenager. Not overly expensive, but it was almost half the room rate!
Have stayed in many hotels and none anywhere near as good for the price.

We used this hotel for one night only as a stopover en route to the West Country. We were very impressed. We have stayed in quite a few HI's and this really is the nicest we have stayed in. Lovely grounds with a lake to wander around. The hotel is very spacious and modern. Our room was quite big with a sofa to relax on. Lovely modern bathroom. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Two restaurants and good sized bar and lounge areas. We paid £84 for B, B and Evening Meal and found it excellent value for money. Cannot comment on the pool area as we didn't use. Would certainly stay there again - next time for longer!
