We stayed for one day at the 'Fox and Goose'. The food was excellent and room very comfortable. All staff were very courteous. Even Oliver, the Labrador made us feel very welcome.
We were there for a Golden Wedding luncheon which was excellent and had booked to stay over for one night. The Hotel is situated very conveniently off the M5 and en route for Bristol Airport. Worth remembering this as cars may be left here prior to departing from the Airport.

Room Tip: We were not disturbed by passing traffic.

Situated between Bristol & the airport on the A38, the pub is cashing in on the woeful lack of hotels on or near the International Airport, something that really needs to be remedied, but that's another gripe !
A country pub offering accommodation, all the usual brick a brack placed around the pub making it seem familiar, but on closer inspection now looks a little tired. Food wise, basic pub fayre, no real twists here, limited menu for kids, though sort of comforting, although we did have to wait a while for our meal, kids getting restless, a sure sign of the delay.
Staff were pleasant & welcoming, the final bill not expensive.
Here's the rub, if you need a place to stay after or before your flight, then it's ok, they're is no real alternative, simple pub, done simply !. I can't see the reason to travel to this place other than for the airport, if the planned hotels materialise, then this could sound the death knell for similar establishments, more investment needed to attract a changing clientele.

Booking through laterooms we paid just £39.95. We did not have breakfast as we were booked on an early morning flight from Bristol airport. The Fox and Goose is a 2 minute drive from the airport. The pub itself lacks character but is more than adequate for a meal (usual pub food) and a drink. The dining area is much bigger than would appear from the road. The bedroom was a bit shabby and overlooked the very busy main road so traffic noise could be a problem. It appeared to be a hasty renovation of the living room accommodation above the pub. There was also a thick layer of dust covering the window blinds. We found the bar staff however to be friendly and helpful and we have no complaints about our meal or the service. There are better more expensive alternative overnight stays within a 10 mile radius, but for proximity to the airport and the price we paid we would stay again.

Room Tip: If you are a light sleeper request one away from the front of the building as the rooms overlook a very busy main road in and out of Bristol airport

We enjoyed an evening meal here before our flight from Bristol Airport, wish we had stayed here rather than the hotel we had booked. All 3 meal were served piping hot, good and reasonably prices. Next time we fly from Bristol we will remember this lovely Pub.

We stayed the night of 17th January 2013, instead of driving to Bristol Airport on 18th in a snowstorm! Booked in the morning without a problem, good service and decent price. Good room and meal in the pub, couldn't have been better. So pleased when we saw so much snow the following morning and then only a short taxi ride to airport.Would stay again and would say, give it a go!

Room Tip: We took the room offered, and it was fine.
