We stayed in this hotel for a day on 30th December. This was a last minute booking when we decided to visit Fatehpur Sikri on our way back from Gwalior. The location of the hotel is excellent as it is just around the gate of Fatehpur Sikri. This is a basic hotel, with basic amenities. The major point is the friendliness of the staff and the hospitality. it reminds me the older days - when hotels had more local touch and personal warmth - which is different from the system-driven and standardized hospitality from the hotel-chains. The personal touch starts from the phone call previous night, confirming the booking. We were checked in good room - probably due last minute booking, we got a basic room, but the manager Mr. Saurabh apologized for the mistake by Cleartrip and indicated to refund the money immediately. He also ensured excellent service - from the start to the end. The food was nice and it was like home-made food, less spicy and tasty. Though only vegetarian option is available, we liked the food. The hotel was having year-end rush and Mr Saurabh ensured that the staff lets us know when our table is laid, so that we need not have to wait outside the restaurant. Power cut is the major problem in Fatehpur Sikri (and in India) - so we were not surprised. They have both generator and inverter available, in order to manage through the expenses intelligently.
Being a budget hotel, the facilities are nice and the hospitality is great - this hotel is highly recommended.

We checked in this hotel because we didn’t find good accommodation in Bharatpur on 24th Dec. stayed for a night at this place. The place has a very homely feel. It is a low budget hotel - but we had a pleasant stay anyway. The location is great - right outside Fathepur Sikri fort The room no. 19 corner on the first floor right in front of strairs is big and very normal/basic. Bathroom is also clean . The room had a mosquito repellent, the WIFI was working. We did not use hot water, although a geyser was there. We don’t find comfortable to bath. Power is erratic especially in the morning. The hotel had switch on the generator set. But one cannot charge mobile/camera battery/Laptop on generator because they don’t give any current on the plug point.
Service was very good. We have taken Dinner at the hotel’s Restaurant. Dinner was served hot. Food was delicious. We also liked the Masala tea. Food is on expensive side as compared to the budget hotel,
Overall good budget hotel, on the price one pay for the room, one should not expect luxury.

O.K. hotel. Nothing great about it, but it looks like it may be the only reasonable hotel in town, and it’s a two-minute walk to the historic sites. We had breakfast there, which was nice. The area around the hotel has nothing to offer otherwise. If you arrive before dinner time, you'll probably have to eat there (we arrived late).

I have stayed at Goverdhan Tourist Hotel many times over the years, as I am a passionate fan of Fatehpur Sikri. I first visited many years ago, and have returned frequently. Now I stay at Goverdhan for three nights. First day to visit the mosque and old city, and the second day to visit Agra...and then to return to this wonderful spot, lovely garden full of flowers and parrots, enjoy coffee or some dinner, and to sleep peacefully. The hotel owners and staff treat me as a welcome friend, and I appreciate their services. Food is great, beds are comfortable, bathrooms are clean, service is swift, and location is immediately beside the lane way to the old city and mosque, and prices very reasonable!

Room Tip: No pool or fitness centre! Get out and walk around the ruins! All rooms overlook the garden, staff are easily summoned from any spot on the wide comfortable verandahs. Any room is fine

My staying in this hotel with my wife was a very good experience : clean a spacious room , reasonable and competitive price , a prompt service , tasty food ( they are restoring the restaurant ) :the staff is cooperative . you find there the most efficient and customer oriented hotel manager mr. Saurabh Garg , he 's 24 hours available for the guests requests. He'll give you all the information where to go and what to do in Fathepur Sikri
