“Nice presentation, good taste”
Reviewed 21 February 2013

Good banter, delicious cakes, good coffee and nice savouries & salads. Howling wind when we had lunch here though. Quite pricey but having gone around New zealand now i realise it was just like everywhere else. The quality was good though

Interesting, yummy food. The savoury muffins were particularly good, as are the homemade pies. Friendly service

“Good food needs some customer service training”
Reviewed 4 January 2013 via mobile

Good place to eat on the island. Breakfasts and lunch were very good. Staff are generally friendly if slow. However the cashier gets very defensive and a little agressive if customers ever question their orders or inquire about delays. He could do with a little customer service training.

“Best cafe on the island”
Reviewed 26 November 2012

Lovely staff, good coffee and a mean french toast. Organic produce used and locally sourced where possible. This is THE place to be over summer with it's funky beats wafting out the door overlooking the tropical paradise waters of Great Barrier Island.
Saturdays are a hive of activity with a local market day and after yoga meetings and Stonewall store next door has all your shopping needs (bulk bins are great).
Such a nice atmosphere and great to catch up and arrange to meet up with friends during the week....

Meals are very good and the cafe is always clean and tidy. Soemtimes you have to wait a little longer than you would expect but on the whole very good.
