A great little B&B in the beautiful Peak District. We visited for 2 nights for a friend's wedding at the nearby Heaton House Farm - this B&B is perfectly handy for it. The converted chapel is beautiful, well decorated and cosy. The room was comfortable and well furnished and our breakfasts were really tasty. The owners were friendly, not being at all annoyed when we arrived much later than expected.

I stayed at the Chapel Croft Guest House for 2 months whilst working away. I stayed in 3 of the 4 rooms and was impressed with them all. They were all modern and well decorated and very comfortable. Lyn and Andy were very friendly and made me feel welcome. There was plenty to choose from for breakfast including a selection of cereal, fruit and toast. The cooked breakfast was also very tasty! I would definitly stay again.

We only stayed for 1 night but it was a very enjoyable stop over. The whole place , inside and out was very clean and tidy, the bed was sooo comfortable ensuring a good nights sleep. The bathroom/shower was excellent with a constant supply of hot water. The Full English Breakfast was well cooked and set us up for our journey home. highly recommended and worth a 2nd visit. Being asked if we would remove our shoes was unusual but certailnly not a problem and totally understandable.

As most people have mentioned already this is an good standard B&B. The room we stayed in was at a 4 star level, kept immaculatly clean with a very high standard of finish; it is clear a lot of thought has gone in to the design of the room.

The couple running this B&B are friendly and helpful, really can't fault the general service.

However, there are a few points which we felt let the stay down:

1) Breakfast time 7:30am to 8:30am - In our opinion this was a bit brutal, this is a B&B which is probably used 99% of the time for a holiday break, therefore trying to get up and ready for an early breakfast is not my idea of a holiday. Also think this is a narrow time window, stayed in B&B's before and there is usually a 2 hour breakfast window. Would have expected 7am to 9am or 7:30am to 9:30am.

2) Breakfast - as mentioned by other people, breakfast was at a good standard, I think the eggs are from their own chickens which is great. However, portions for the breakfast seemed to be on the small size. I ordered the full English, which was more like a three quarter English..... teaspoon of beans(?) and one small sausage. Again, the quality of the food was excellent, but cutting corners on quanity just seem to let the breakfast down. Happy to pay an extra £5 for a good size meal.

3) Take your shoes off - Was informed that the B&B was refurbished at the start of the year but due to the (light) colour of the carpet laid on the stairs and landing was told/asked to remove shoes before going to our room. Ok understand the reason for the request, but this is a B&B business not a private home, would expected that this could have been addressed by the owners in another way.

4) Start of August was warm and the bedroom we stayed in was not well ventaliated, looks very pretty but has a single Velux window which simply does not provide enough ventilation for the size of the room.

Overall a nice 4 star B&B, however in my opinion it feels as if it's run more for the convienence of the owners rather than as a guest house.

Situated between Biddulph and Congleton in a rural area this stone built chapel conversion offers high standard, clean, comfortable accomodation. The history gives special character and adds to the experience. The bedroom was beautifully presented, though fairly compact but there is a pleasant guest lounge available. The location is very peaceful. Excellent cooked breakfast and friendly hosts.

I cannot praise Chapel Croft enough. I found this B & B on Trip Advisor and what a fantastic find. Although initially it was somewhat hard to find it was well worth the wait. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome by Lyn and Andy. Nothing was too much trouble for them and what can I say about the "chapel" itself. The rooms are furnished to the very highest standard and Lyn and Andy have added such special touches such as robes and toiletries in your room (something which we have rarely found in a B & B). The breakfast was lovely , with plenty of choice, and also to a very high standard. Will definitely be returning at some point in the future.

Room Tip: Very high standard. Beatiful decor and extra special touches
