What a great stay, we had one night at the Lambert Arms and couldn't fault a thing, the staff and management were so professional and on the ball. I would like to point out a special mention to Eddy who was the manager who made us all feel so welcome and treated as though we were his only guests. The food and accommodation was of the highest standard and i would say that the food was one of the best i had eaten for a number of years.

If i could give more stars i would but i highly recommend the Lambert Arms so much so i have recommended the place to a couple of companies in the medical field who have or are planning to book in.

Dear Raj,laura and the kids,

Im really pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us.

It is always nice to get such positive reviews which I always share with and discuss with the team.
Raj perhaps you could give me a call when you are free to give me the opportunity to talk about the possibility of setting up a corporate rate, or any other future stays or events that you may be planning.

Once again thank you for your kind comments and I hope to speak with you soon.

With Kind Regards

Had to stop by at the last minute due to work commitments and found the Lambert Arms to be a great place to stop over and relax. The staff were helpful, the food was good, and as a lover of the great outdoors the locality intrigues me so I'll be back to check that out in the future!

Dear Seanw

I'm really pleased that we suited your needs so well. If you are in the area more often maybe you might want to set up a corporate rate with us, if you would like to do this please call me personally to discuss.
Or if its for a leisure break to explore the beautiful Oxfordshire country side then take a look at our website for special offers and breaks that we offer all year round. www.bespokehotels.com/lambertarms

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean, comfortable and well worth the money we paid. We found the staff to be really friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. The food was excellent and having the option to dine in the more formal restaurant or relaxed bar area was great. All in all a very enjoyable stay!

We stayed here for 2 nights with breakfast for £99. It did say it was in the Cotswolds, but it's actually the chilterns! We arrived and checked in, our room was in the newer part, which reminded us a bit of a travelodge, although the room was quite large, it seemed very empty, with not enough furniture to make it feel cosy, the bathroom was ok, bit of a grubby floor, and no towel hook by the sink, and again quite bare. It was cold when we were there, so we put the heating on, which is the air conditioning, which of course is based above the door, so didn't really heat the room very well, as it blew the hot air over to the window, and as the bathroom isn't heated the towels stay damp, and it didn't help that when our room was serviced they folded our towels up, also they didn't re-stock the toiletries. We ate in the restaurant both evenings, and the food was lovely with a nice wine selection. The staff could be a bit more neatly dressed and a bit more friendly. Breakfast was very shabby, and my poached egg on the first morning was solid, so on the second morning I requested a runny poached egg, which it was, but it was floating in water which made everything soggy, not acceptable, staff slow at topping up tea and coffee jugs, or attempting to tidy up the breakfast area!

Dear Pohkiss

Thank you for such a comprehensive review, we act on both positive and negative reviews,so it is very useful to use your comments both positive and negative with my team.
Our rooms are very spacious and they do allow guests who are staying for more than a couple of days to feel comfortable. I have discussed your room comments with my housekeeper to ensure that all toiletries are refreshed when they should be and to replace the towels that are damp if our guests have left them in the bath,we do try to protect the environment and as a company we take this responsibly seriously, there are notices regarding this policy in the bathroom so I'm not sure if there was some confusion regarding this.
Chef is very pleased with the positive comments regarding dinner, we are also reminding the service staff of the importance of asking how a guest would like their poached eggs cooked in order to ensure that the eggs are perfect,as well as ensuring toast is served with poached eggs. Staff have also been reminded about their appearance and a new set of appearance standards have been issued to all.
I am pleased that you were happy with the deal booked through Amazon and I hope you will sign up to our database in order to take advantage of our own direct offers. Please visit bespokehotels.com/lambertarms to do so.

Thank you for your review once again and I hope we can welcome you back again in the near future.

Kind Regards

The deal was bought through Amazon £99 for two nights with breakfast. I paid an extra £20 per night for an upgrade which appeared to be a recently refurbished room. It was clean and the bathroom very basic. The room was spacious . The buffet area where the self service continental breakfast was laid out was pretty shabby and needs to be updated. However the restaurant and reception area was presentable and in keeping. It was a solitary building seconds off the motorway and is probably ideal as a stop over for one night. The corridors and hall way reminded me of a care home. I would grade this on level of Premier Inn or Holiday Inn Express. The staff seemed friendly and informal.

Room Tip: Ask for the upgrade

Dear Apple 501

Thank you for your recent review, I am pleased that you found the rooms both spacious and comfortable and our staff friendly. We do aim to try and make all of our guests welcome and you are correct in saying that we are very convenient for a stopover. Your comments reference the breakfast buffet have been taken on board and we have already made some changes to the presentation of the buffet. It is a shame that you didn't dine in our rosette restaurant as you would have found the food delightful, something you certainly wouldn't get in any of the branded budget hotels that you mentioned.
All in all I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay and I hope if you are in the area again you will stay with us again.

Kind Regards
