Fòr de Porta is a wonderful converted cantina with a lovely warm atmosphere. I walked in to the sound of music (not the musical with Julie Andrews) coming from an old vinyl record player, which helped create an intimate atmosphere. The restaurant offers a wonderful expansive anti pasto (hors d'oeuvres) platter, which gives a great selection of salumi (cold meats) and bruschette. We were served by a very friendly, very smily waitress. The pasta was also excellent, and the wine ranges from the owner's own cheap unpretentious wine to more expensive wine from the local area. Later on, a local old boy came in and played the accordion with some friends. An excellent dining experience and friendly atmosphere.
