We popped into Roberts Creek one rainy evening on the homeward leg of our Sunshine Coast trip, hoping to find a nice B&B for a single night. Luckily, we found this stunning Victorian inn run by a lovely couple whose creative pursuits are described in the inn's name. Vic is the artist and his wife Sherri is the quiltmaker, and the fruits of their artistry are displayed throughout the inn--colorful quilts, paintings and sculptures everywhere. Our room beneath the eaves, looked down on a lush green landscape (including a hot tub) and was decorated in an angelic theme. We were greeted at breakfast by Vic, adorned in a chef's hat, who dished up a hearty breakfast of fruit salad, yogurt, granola, vegetable omelets, coffee and juice. It was terrific. We loved the town, which has a fun restaurant, cafe (both called Gumboot), many artisans, a general store, library, and an enticing coastal park complete with a colorful community-created mandala. We can't wait to return!
