Flodigarry is set off the main road between Staffin and Portree on Skye and as such you travel down a twisting drive but the short diversion is worth it. Relatively expensive to stay but you are buying an experience given the history of the hotel and the view and seclusion over to the island.

Food offering is now very good all be it at the high end cost wise.

Staff were friendly and welcoming

Rooms are good in the main hotel but you really must stay in the Flora Macdonald cottage as her connection with Bonnie Prince Charlie and feeling the era is priceless!

Room tip: Flora Macdonald cottage rooms for historic connection

We had breakfast here, two mornings in a row and it was excellent each time. The food was good and the staff were friendly and efficient. It's a beautiful, quaint establishment and well run. Highly recommended!

It is many years since I was last in this hotel and the transformation is nothing short of miraculous.

The accommodation is nothing short of stunning, and the food quality is simply superb with the emphasis on fresh local produce. And it really shows.

As for the views..... Simply beautiful in every direction.

I could not fault this hotel and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Stayed here on the last night of our walking trip on Skye (highly recommended but that's another story). Beautiful hotel, lovely views of the Quiraing, Flodigarry Island and over to the mainland. Tastefully furnished throughout with incredible attention to detail. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, really couldn't do enough for us. Truly outstanding food and drink, both for lunch in the cosy bar and in the restaurant in the evening. Offered us a packed lunch instead of breakfast when we told them we had an early start. Hard to fault on any level really - keep up the good work.
