We stayed at Anneth Lowen on our return journey from Cornwall to Kent . When we arrived we was made to feel really welcome by Chris & Mamie. The accomodation is the best we have stayed in, perfect ! Everything was so clean and smelt so welcoming and fresh . The complimentary welcome pack was so thoughtful. We will certainly be returning to this stunning property. Felt privileged to have been able to stay in such a beautiful place .

Anneth Lowen means ' welcome house' in Cornish as we were advised by the owners . The small barn conversion has been beautifully done and is very comfortable, quiet and peaceful . It has all the modern conveniences and good private parking facilities. We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay and the
the good company of Chris and Mamie who own the Manor House.
A first class base for travelling in Somerset.

“A Quiet Haven”

Probably the best self stay cottage we have stayed in. Full of character and refinements that made it our home away from home. The owners Chris and Mamie made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay including complimentary breakfast items, brochures and advice on local tourist destinations and local eating out spots. Anneth Lowen also has a history and Chris was passionate about talking to us about it and showing us around the property. Anneth Lowen is situated on a farming property surrounded by beautifully manicured gardens and cobbled stone drive ways. The cottage and manor house are picture postcard material. It is close to surrounding tourist destinations while being peaceful and quiet if you just want to relax in beautiful surroundings. Would have no hesitation in recommending Anneth Lowen.

“Fantastic first family holiday in a great location”

We booked Anneth Lowen for our first holiday with our 8 week old son. Anneth Lowen is an excellent holiday cottage of very high standard and cleanliness. Mamie and Chris are very welcoming and prepared cake and provided coffee, milk and bread for us on arrival. They also provided a moses basket, changing mat & baby bath free of charge.
The location of the cottage is ideal for access to Cheddar, Bath and Wells and for local walks.
The history of Langford Manor fascinated us (read the book provided in the cottage) and added further enjoyment to our holiday experience.
We will definitely be recommending this cottage to friends/family!

Occaisionally you come accross a true gem of a place, Anneth Lowen is one of those places which is difficult to fault. It is a beautifully converteed out building inthe grounds of the historic 15th centuary mediaeval farmhouse "Langford Manor". (look it up on Wikipedia !) the mannor and outbuilldings sit in beautifully tended gardens with views over the mendips.
The accomodation is a perfect getaway for a couples or honeymoons with a spacious living accomodation kitchen bedroomand bathroom , all finished to an exceedingly high standard. The property backs onto woodland with great walks and views over the Somerset country side. We stayed two nights and will be recommending staying here to our friends . Just an excellent all round experience.

“Lovely one bed barn set in a beautiful rural location”
Reviewed 3 June 2013 for a stay in April 2013

My wife and I stayed at Anneth Lowen for a long weekend and were delighted with our choice of cottage. The barn had been recently converted to a high standard and was set in the lovely grounds of the manor house with access to some fantastic country walks as well as being a short drive from a number of local cities such as Bath, Bristol and Wells.
The owners were very friendly and helpful and provided us with a great welcome pack.
If you're after a one bed place we couldn't recommend it more highly!
