Description: Typical Tuscan cuisine of our ancestors in a very astonishing location. Original fescos dated 1700 telling us the story of an ancient marriage.

We first started going here when it opened 3 or 4 years ago and it just gets better and better. A family affair with the charming Monia front of house and her mum assisting with the cooking. Typical of the region the food is Tuscan style wonderfully cooked and presented in beautiful surroundings. The menu changes seasonally and the wine list is extensive. All the staff are very attentive and Monia speaks perfect English.

Tucked away in the middle of Palaia, behind a large brick wall and next to a cafe style restaurant is the Bacciomeo. Good food and service awaits you here in a dining room with glorious frescos. Great steaks are cooked on an open fire to order.

Despite the strange setting behind a pizza restaurant and play park, this restaurant is very special. The villa is enchanting or you can sit outside. The food was delicious, the staff very attentive.

This is a family run restaurant, and it shows - they really care and are genuinely pleased to see you. Their food is excellent, the faggotini was really delicious. We visited twice for dinner and there were five of us so we really did manage to sample a lot of the menu - every dish was great.

The father works the grill, the mother the frying, the daughter waitresses and advises on wine. They've been running a couple of years but you would think they've been there forever such is the quality and attention to detail. Must also mention the other waitress who isn't part of the family = she was lovely and possibly the smiliest waitress ever encountered:)

Definitely put this on your list. The restaurant is interesting too - ancient frescoes that have been restored are on all four walls, a really interesting place.
