“Lunch beer and sandwich”
Reviewed 21 May 2014 via mobile

After a nearby visit to Brimham Rocks we came to Pateley Bridge to find lunch and happened on the Crown. The staff were pleasant and quickly helped us to a table, provided a much needed Timmy Taylors and took our our order for sandwiches. They were served in baguettes which fortunately were soft. I'm not very keen on the real French version for a sandwich as it rips the skin off the roof of your mouth! We had the Pateley Sausage served warm with salad vegetables, plus we shared a portion of 'real' chips. All told with drinks, food and a tip I left £30 which I thought not unreasonable considering the size of the sandwich.

If you are in Pateley Bridge High Street and in need of refreshment look no further. You will need to find parking if you have a car.

“Book table early - gets busy”
Reviewed 11 May 2014

Tastey food, reasonably priced. Busy when we went so service slow. All cooked fresh in tiny kitchen by a guy who is chef - juggler.

“Amazing food, good atmosphere, ok drinks”
Reviewed 11 May 2014

We ate here last night. After seeing the specials board, the regular menu was forgotten, as it looked amazing. My husband had the belly pork and I had the chicken from the specials. Both meals were great, our puddings delicious and service really good. We ate in the bar as we had the dog with us.
The only reason this place did not get 5 stars was the drinks. The three real ales on offer were uninspiring. I suppose we are spoilt living in York and getting a better selection than the Black Sheep/Landlord/Theakstons/Golden Pippin choice as the norm. There were no nice lagers on draught and my bottle of Peroni was warm. The wine was nice though. Regardless of the drinks we'd be back here again to eat in a heartbeat! Thank you for a wonderful meal!

sorry to hear u were not inspired by our real ales, we do get 20 out 0f 20 with cask marque for the quality of the real ales, however, my brother has been looking after the cellar for 30 years or more, and I have explained to him that there are so many new micro breweries around doing real ales, he explained to me that as we lease from enterprise, we can get these ales, but at a price, and he feels people will not want to pay so much for them, I am sorry your peroni was warm, and shall address this, I am so glad you enjoyed our service and food and look forward to seeing you again, and hopefully, we can get a better deal with enterprise and have a guest beer on for when you come again. yours Catherine.

“Great Food and Great Staff”
Reviewed 11 May 2014

Called in here for lunch after we had been exploring the area around Pateley Bridge. We had a thoroughly delicious meal with drinks; the Yorkshire Hot Pot was superb and the staff were very polite, friendly and efficient. Well kept and clean establishment. Highly recommend calling in here.

“Great lunch and great service”
Reviewed 5 May 2014

We only stopped for a quick lunch but the baguettes were huge and the fillings were very plentiful. I wanted something slightly off the menu, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Very pleasant place to stop and the staff were lovely.
