We were staying here for one night whilst completing the Way of the Roses. After a very wet, long tiring day we were greeted with a very warm and friendly welcome.
Rooms were comfortable and clean only minor point was shower in top floor rooms struggled pumping the water through.
Breakfast great.. Cooked to order, fresh ingredients and very tasty.
Pateley bridge is a hidden gem.

We stayed at Talbot House on the Way of the Roses Coast to Coast bike ride and it was a great choice. A great welcome and very comfortable room. Allowed us to put our bikes inside the main house, really thoughtful gesture and indicative of the high level of service. Breakfast was outstanding and set us up for the climb out of the village. The whole village was decorated ready for the Tour de France, great atmosphere and great hospitality. The very friendly black Labradors just added to a great stay.

Despite the tearoom being just 15 minutes from closing we were warmly welcomed. We sat on the terrace around the back as our friends had their black lab 'Leo' with them. Leo got stuck into making friends with our hosts' own black Labradors whilst we pondered the menu. We all chose scampi, salad and chips which turned out to be a good choice: the salad was fresh and crunchy, the scampi was delicious and the homemade chips were divine! Fruit cake and cheese followed for us - again a very good choice. Our friends chose apple cake and raspberry Bakewell with cream respectively and they looked equally yummy. Excellent fayre, friendly hosts - well worth a visit.

Myself and my wife stayed here last weekend to escape the rat-race of living in the city. Upon arrival we were greeted by one of the owners who met us with a friendly 'Hello'. We were asked if our trip was ok and then after a few more words we were shown to our room, with our overnight bag being carried for us by Richard. Shortly afterwards we were brought a flask of milk to use with our tea/coffee and informed that they only use fresh milk and not those little plastic UHT cartons (which never seem to have enough in them!)... a nice touch we thought. The rooms were spotless, the bedding was fresh and crisp and beds were very comfortable.. a credit to the housekeepers ! Pateley Bridge is a lovely historical Dales village and we made the most of it and the nearby attractions. We shall return to the village and stay here again if there is a vacancy. Oh, I almost forgot.. those home-made cakes...wow.. I fancied a piece of each but I resisted the temptation ! Thankyou.

Room Tip: We had room 3 (I think??) and it was very comfortable, very little outside noise 'til about 11pm then really quiet.
