“Perfect compromise of beach AND close to town!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 June 2011

My boyfriend and I recently spent 3 days in Mykonos at the Mykonos Grace hotel. We had trouble deciding on whether or not to stay in town, or by the beach...and the Grace seemed to have the best of both worlds. It is only a 5 minute car ride into town (and the hotel provides a free 24 hr shuttle) , in addition to being right up the hill from Agios Stefanos (small, clean beach accessible by a short path from the hotel - with a great taverna right on the beach). If you don't want to rely on the shuttle to get into town, there is a car rental agency right down the road from the hotel (3 min walk) - which we used to rent a 4 wheel ATV to get out to some of the more distant beaches. Free parking right at the hotel.
When we arrived, we were greeted at the ferry dock by the hotel shuttle driver with cold bottles of water, and cool towels. The shuttle is complementary for the quick drive back to the hotel. At the reception area, we were given champagne as they took us on a quick tour of the hotel. It is GORGEOUS. The rooms were on several levels - some with balconies of varying sizes. Our room was right off the pool on the 3rd level....which I thought might be loud in the morning, since they serve breakfast (included in the room rate) poolside. However, I was very pleasantly surprised that the glass doors leading to the small outdoor deck kept the room almost soundproof. The room itself was great-- plenty of space, VERY large glass shower, and comfy bed.
The food was fantastic! Breakfast was a combination of buffet items (fruits, yogurts, cereals) and a la carte items (eggs, omlettes, pancakes) Lunch was not included - but there was a great selection of local Greek fare - and was delicious! And the view from the pool deck was amazing....looking out past the beautiful infinity pool over the new port and the ocean. It was a great place to have a drink before heading into town for an evening meal. Although we did not have dinner here - many guests, especially those with small children, were dining at the hotel in the evening. They place lanterns around the pool in the evening to really create a romantic, serene setting once the sun goes down.
The pool area was wonderful....perfect size infinity pool overlooking the ocean, with plenty of lounging areas. Great to come back to after a day at the beach.
We both got massages while we were there---along with use of the steam room...which was very relaxing.
There is an internet room (free Wi-fi!) and a beautiful library room, with a porch and comfy chairs overlooking the ocean.
Certainly, the BEST part of Mykonos Grace was the staff....they are so amazingly helpful with suggestions for dining, as well as what beaches to visit, nightlife, etc. The manager was constantly on site, and really took time with all the guests to personally ensure that each was having a wonderful time. He even gave us free champagne while waiting for the shuttle one evening. The restaurant/bar staff were fantastic - very personable, and always joking with us, while providing excellent service.
I would HIGHLY recommend Mykonos Grace for anyone looking for a trendy hotel with incredible staff - and at a very reasonable price!

Incredible service, beautiful views (especially as it is not a big hotel), good food, excellent rooms. Wonderful place.

I went for a trip with friends and had such a brilliant experience. Above all the service was outstanding. I highly reccomend this hotel.

Having just returned from a week in this hotel, we felt compelled to write a review (our first!) to give the hotel the justice it so richly deserves.

We were greeted with such generous hospitality, the welcoming drink, cold towels and personal tour of the hotel; we knew that this hotel would be the perfect destination for a relaxing time, away from the hub of the main town.

The hotel staff were immensely knowledgeable about the area with great recommendations for local restaurants and above all, were so friendly and genuinely cared about your time spent with them; we couldn't think of any other hotel that could offer such personal service. Breakfast was a particularly joyful time, the staff greeted you like long lost friends and would accommodate any request with a smile. The daily glass of champagne and personalised messages written in your latte were especially appreciated!

The room was clean and spacious, yes there is a main road, but with the adequate glazing and air conditioning you really wouldn't notice.

The location is seconds away from the sandy beach of Agios Stefanos and there is a free shuttle bus that the hotel provides to take you into the main town of Mykonos (with a 5 Euro taxi ride back) to enjoy the different delicacies the island has to offer.

In short, we could not recommend the hotel highly enough and will certainly consider the other Grace Hotel chain, if this is anything to compare to. We will be back!

From our arrival at Mykonos airport to be met by a friendly smile and welcome from the hotel driver to the waiting receptionist offering us cold flannels tofreshen ourselves, we knew our stay at this wonderful hotel was going to be extra special.
After check-in we were given a tour of all facilities, when we got to the pool/bar/restaurant area a glass of cold champagne was waiting and the welcome from the restaurant/bar staff didn't end through to our last days stay.
This is a small hotel, with a wonderful personal feel to the service from everyone. Built into the side of a hill it is not without its steps, there is a lift but it only goes so far if your room is at the very top of the hotel. There were no children during our stay, I'm not sure if it caters for children, to us it definately had a romantic couples feel.
The beach is a 5 minute stroll down the hill, there is a wonderful taverna on the beach where a lot of Greek's eat, highly recommend especially the great fish!
The peace and tranquility of the hotel and the wonderful spa facilities, gym (small but has good quality equipment), were well used (highly recommend treating yourself to a Swedish Massage - fantastic!
No, this is not a cheap and cheerful hotel, it is special and will appeal to a host of travellers, but if you want to be pampered, know that you will never have to race to eat breakfast (served from 8.00-11.00 so you can relax and talk to guests or not), not have to fight for a sun lounger (some are doubles) this is the place for you. If you have something special to celebrate this could be the place for you.
The best rooms have either a large balcony or balcony and private hot tub - that's for us next time!
Chora (Mykonos main town) is a 10 minute taxi ride (5 euro) or the hotel bus will take you if they are available (free of charge). A must go excursion if only to find a greek cafe and drink coffee and watch the tourists from the cruise ships be parted from their money by some skilfull shop owners. Cruise ships are in port every day/evening often more than 1.
Some excellent places to eat in Chora.
All in all an excellent holiday and visit to the Mykonos Grace, we are going to try out the other hotels in the same group, but we will also return to this corner of Mykonos that is heaven on earth.

Room Tip: All rooms have sea views!!

We recently returned from the most amazing time in Mykonos. I went with friends and it was out first time to the greek island. The hotel was amazing from when you first step foot onto the island. When you arrive, whether it be the port or the airport, a driver is there waiting for you to take you to this boutique, luxurious hotel, Mykonos Grace. When you arrive at the hotel, you are greeted by many members of the staff with cold towels, a tour, and a welcome glass of champagne. You have arrived in Paradise! The hotel is not in the town which is perfect, since the fun night life can last until well into the late mornings. There is a free shuttle to take you into town whenever you would like. The rooms and bathrooms (which include amazing products) are spacious with big plush beds. A champagne breakfast is included daily with a la carte choices as well as a bountiful breakfast buffet and different fresh squeeze juices. Whether you come to relax with your friends or on a romantic get-a-way this is where you should stay!

Went to Mykonos for 5 days, 4 nights. The experience was amazing. Aside from the hotel staff being fantastic, incredibly accommodating, and making you feel as though we were the only people staying there, the accommodations were lovely. The rooms are an intimate size, and because the hotel is smaller, there are very few rooms per wing so you have total peace and quiet. Our view was amazing, the complimentary breakfast was outstanding, including fresh squeezed juice, and the lunch and dinner were delicious and affordable. I went with friends, but this would be an incredibly romantic spot for any couple. Also, there is a shuttle that will take you into town at a moment's notice - very convenient. Overall this was top-notch, luxury at it's finest.

Room Tip: One with a balcony!

Over years of travelling I’ve always found something to whinge about when staying at hotels.
From St Regis and Four Seasons to Aman resorts and Banyan tree they all have their faults.
However this hotel is absolute perfection.
Situated just far enough from the madness of Mykonos town but also near enough when you want it -the hotel is ideally located. The rooms are wonderfully bright with sunny terraces and a fabulously deep pool on the restaurant floor.
Breakfast is a gloriously decadent affair – yes you can have champagne for breakfast and yes you can get out of bed when ever you want!
The real stars of this hotel however are the warm, friendly, well informed staff – every single one had a smile and a hello every time you saw them.
We definitely will be back
