We stayed at the Lagos Mare as part of our honeymoon and found the staff extremely friendly and especially the general manager Constantinos who went out of his way to help us. The hotel location was outside of the main town but was excellent and within walking distance to the neighbouring local village that was lovely and had a number of excellent local teverna's.

The hotel pools were excellent and well kept and in general we were really impressed with the hotel and Naxos in general and will be definitely back in the near future !!

My wife and our twin 18 year old daughters stayed at the Lagos Mare for 3 nights. The hotel was beautiful and the staff was extremely helpful. My wife arrived later than we did and there were some complications caused by a general strike. When I had trouble using my calling card to contact our travel agent the staff at the front desk made the call for me at no charge. They were friendly and helpful every time we had contact with them.

We stayed here after visiting Athens and Mykonos, and for a similar price we got a WAY better deal over there in terms of quality and price. This hotel is anything but "luxurious" and "sophisticated", and the pics in their website do not reflect the reality. The location is awful (being able to see the sea at the distance is not the same that having a "seaview"). I would never recommend this hotel.

The staff was very warm and helpful, specially to recommend beaches and restaurants nearby. In any event, the dinner at the hotel restaurant was also excellent. The swimming pools were excellent and the location is perfect -in a quiet area only 10 minutes away from the beaches-. They also offer you rent-a-car services in the hotel.

We spent a week in this nice and cosy hotel in May and liked the friendly staff and the hotel / rooms very much. We were upgraded to a Junior suite which was fairly big and had a whirlpool in the bathroom. The hotel is very clean and makes you feel relaxed right upon walking into the front hall.
The hotel is only a 350m walk from the beach front. However, you have walk down a street without footpath which makes it a bit uncomfortable. Nevertheless, we would defintely recommend the hotel as it seems to be one of the best rated hotel in Naxos.
Special note: If you walk down the street to the beach, there is a beach cafe called "Golden Beach" to the right where staff is friendly and attentive and cakes, coffees and salads are marvellous and prices are fair.
