Our stay at Mykonos Grand was nothing short of spectacular. The setting for a start is amazing with its own beach and fabulous pool with adjoining bar where you can have snacks, lunch, or dinner (don't miss out on trying the BBQ lunch with very tasty yiros.
We were there for a wedding with the reception at the Amphitheatre. Nothing short of magical is the only way to describe the evening as the sun set over the ocean. The staff were great and very accommodating.
The accommodation, although on the ex-y side ($$$), was beautiful. Our room was apparently one of the refurbished Sea View Rooms. I heard that the Standard rooms are not as nice, but I figure you get what you pay for. The staff overall were outstanding even though there was a definitely language barrier there...especially when we needed safety pins! Try and explain that to a greek maid!!
A spa and mini beauty salon is on site if you feel the need for pampering. There is also a shuttle going backwards and forwards all day to Mykonos Town, so as long as you don't miss the last shuttle and get caught up in the old Town trying to heist a cab, you'll be fine. The hotel is about 15 minutes drive from the old Town...Greek speed, that is....flat out around the corners!
Checkin and checkout was simple and trouble free. The Reception staff are particularly good with excellent English.
All in all, I would definitely stay here again for a 5* experience.

Room Tip: Aim for at least the Queen Size Sea View Room. The views are reasonably good and the rooms are spaci...

Normally I always stay at Starwood resorts but it was recommended to me by some friends that one.
What can I say for this hotel that hasn’t been said! Stylish, fresh, white, relaxing FRIENDLY…..I could continue with thousands positive (reflecting my feelings) adjectives.
Private driver, glam welcome with champagne, free gifts every night at the room, yummy Greek breakfast buffet, refreshing pool treatment, relaxing private beach, sunsets to die for……
The girls at the front office were always enthusiast and they made all the restaurants reservations and excursions we asked. The two barmen are at the reception modern bar were a gem, the two managers were funny and efficient, the guest relations girls made us feel like we were friends forever, our room was new, modern and breathtaking, the guys working for breakfast lunch and dinner besides their regular job they took the extra step to approach their guests and provide a short of conversation. The girls at the spa provided a very relaxing atmosphere and a unique experience. I haven’t stayed at a hotel that the people care so much about their guests
We had dinner at their main restaurant which it was very tasty and I surprised my husband with a romantic dinner on the beach the last night which it was some of the most romantic things we ve done together.
We rented a convertible smart car and we went to Kikis, Nammos, nikolas and sostis. The hotel provided free transportation to the city every evening and always found for us taxis late after party (taxis might be an issue at this island)
We had lunch almost every day at their private beach, on the actual chair; food and cocktails were the best I experienced in Greece
What this hotel separates from the others is the location, design and the STAFF. I haven’t experienced friendliest hotel employees in my life.
All in all Mykonos is a cosmopolitan island with exclusive expensive boutiques, stylish bars, sophisticated restaurants and fine hotels. It is an expensive island but it has high standards and addresses an upscale clientele.

We spent the first part of our honeymoon here. We were staying in a Superior Sea View room. The room was clean and cozy and the views were breath-taking.

They have a private beach with chairs, umbrellas and beach towels for free. We enjoyed spending time on the beach and swimming pool which also boasts of excellent view.

Although the breakfast is not included with your room charges, we had our breakfast in the restaurant here. It was good and worth the price.

The drinks at the bar are a bit on the higher side but the bar-tender really makes nice cocktails.

The room service and the hotel staff was courteous and very helpful.

Overall, if you plan to splurge, this is the right place to get a good value for money.

Room Tip: Superior Sea View Rooms have fantastic views.

We were brought into the VIP check-in area upon arrival and were handed a glass of champagne while we learned about the hotel and the surrounding area. The lady checking us in was very friendly and recommended restaurants and sites to see around the island. She also took us on a tour of the hotel and to our room. It was a fantastic start to the stay, despite the rain.

We were on our honeymoon, and we were upgraded from the sea view room to a suite! The room had a great view of the sea and a balcony with a table and a bathtub. There was a separate living room area with its own TV and a window with a view. The main part of the room was very large, with a bathtub and a shower/steam area.

The breakfast at this hotel was wonderful! It is an "American" buffet breakfast with champagne. They had someone there to make omelettes, scrambles, eggs, etc to order. They had a great selection of meats, cheeses, yogurt, cereal, fruit and several other foods. We sat out on the terrace where we had a view of the hotel pool and of the sea. It was very relaxing and a great way to start each day.

Without writing a super long review, I want to talk about some of the things that make this hotel so great. First of all, the entire staff is so friendly and they were there if you needed anything. The service was amazing. We loved the private hotel beach - there are lounges and umbrellas and we definitely enjoyed our time there. The pool is huge (but the water is cold!) and you can lounge around and enjoy the view of the sea. They also have a hot tub and a huge bar/restaurant so you can order drinks while you sit by the pool. We also took advantage of the hotel bar. The cocktails aren't cheap, but they were amazing! They had snacks ready for you as soon as you sat down. Finally, the hotel had free wifi that worked very well and we had no issues during out stay.

The location of the hotel was really nice. We liked being away from Mykonos Town and close to the beach, but we also wanted to be able to go into town to eat, shop and explore. The hotel has a free shuttle that runs back and forth in the evenings (I believe there was one at 7, 8, 9 and 10, and returned from town at 10 minutes past the hour). It was really convenient for when we wanted to go back into town for dinner. The hotel is also really close (a couple of minutes walking) to the local bus stop. It's really cheap and easy to go into town that way. If you want to come back and the timing isn't right, the taxi back is less than 10 euros. We went in October so we never had to wait for a taxi. The hotel also has free pick ups and drop offs from the airport/port/wherever which was really helpful. We had someone waiting for us at the airport and we easily arranged for a shuttle to take us to the port so we could catch our ferry.

We will definitely stay here next time we are in Mykonos. We were not there for very long so we didn't take advantage of many of the other things the hotel offered - spa, gym, other sports facilities, movie rentals, the restaurant, etc. We can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: Get a sea view room!

My girlfriend and I enjoyed a fantastic week at the mykonos grand in May 11, typically quite early in the Greek holiday season. For the first 2-3 days it was quite mild, and often blustery, however, after the third day it was as if someone actually turned the oven on, the weather didn't drop below a hot 30 degrees and it was absolutely stunning...

We were greeted on arrival by Susie who is front of house and also from Falmouth, England. She was so lovely throughout, and even gave us a lift into town one afternoon while she saw us walking down the winding hill from the hotel when she really didn't have to!...

All the front of house girls (around 5 in total) are brilliant, so friendly and honestly nothing is too much for them. The two managers are brothers, and they are also wonderfully attentive and responsive. Anything you need doing they attend to straight away, and always with a smile on their face!! Aris, George Roberta and Vangelis as well as the staff at the pool bar throughout the day are so friendly and always willing to talk, or arrange drinks/food for you, and the maids who take care of the accomodation and buildings are also very friendly...

So first things first, the staff have obviously been very well trained, and are extremely professional. Also consider that they don't have a day off for the 6 month season they work!!

The Spa was absolutely brilliant, and the two in charge (a girl and a guy whose names escape me now i am sorry!!!) are very well trained and carry out fantastic treatments. We had scrubs and massages together and they were both brilliant.

The swimming pool is huge and a lovely temperature especially when the sun is hot!
The bar during the day which serves food is very good, as is the restaurant at night, however a little pricey...The food is excellent, but in my opinion slightly overpriced, but it is a 5 star hotel so...
The breakfast is absolutely champions league to say the very least, such a wonderful spread of pastries, greek produce, european and american food!!! you won't be disappointed!!
The hotel also has a well equipped gym which is a nice place to go to if you feel like getting a sweat on then jumping in the pool!

The room was nice, however we felt for a 5 star hotel it would have been bigger, and possibly better furnished, although this really is nitpicking as we didn't do much other than sleep in the room!! The bathroom is lovely as are all the amenities!! The bed is also super comfortable, and the balcony has a wonderful view of the clear agean sea...
The private beach is down a few steps from the pool, and the sea is beautiful and clear at all times!!

The town of Mykonos is a 10 minute journey by free shuttle or taxi from the hotel, so you are not consigned to just staying in the grounds of the hotel while here. We ate out in Mykonos half the time, as well as in the smaller town of Ornos which is 2 minutes from the hotel (best restaurant is called Ithaki) and i must say that the quality of the restaurants in both towns are superb. Good prices, and you wont be let down for quality.

So overall, you will not be disappointed in the slightest if you stay at this wonderful hotel...The staff are simply brilliant, the views, the facilities, the food, the town, the weather, everything!!! honestly!!
I would advise It is better to book from late may when it starts to become consistently 30 degrees!!!

Robin and anna, england.

We chose the Mykonos Grand as our one 'luxury' stop of a six week backpacking trip around Europe and were not disappointed. A one on one check in complete with champagne and a tour of the hotel were fantastic. The room.. outstanding. We had a sea view room with our own balcony, hanging cocoon chair, lovely bathroom, plush bed and the most breathtaking views. If this was just the plain old seaview room the Superior ones must be out of this world!

Facilities around the pool were fantastic and relaxing on the beach just as good - if I was being picky I would say if they could offer 'pool bar' service down at the beach it would be even better.

The breakfast and the view from the restaurant was again breathtaking. No expensive spared, great service, decent coffee (Hard to find sometimes!) and cheerful welcomes. As an included part of the room charge it was great but all other food and drinks at the resort were incredibly overpriced but to be expected - if backpacking like us, a small mini mart just down the road to buy drinks / snacks from that are not an exorbidant price! But going to a five star resort I guess you have to be aware that these over the top prices are the norm.

The service was definitely fantastic - our ferry to Santorini ended up being cancelled on two consecutive days and the man we dealt with could not have been more helpful with his advice on what to do and how to travel forward. Stuck for a day in the hotel with heavy rain, thunder etc - complimentary DVDs in bed and room service made it extremely pleasant!

If you want a place to splurge in Mykonos, this is it!

Room Tip: Surely there is no bad room to be found at this hotel!
