The photos on the site are very good but they can’t capture the idyllic charm of this lovely cottage. Peter and Barbara met us at the cottage to explain all we needed to know and ensure we had everything we needed; they had left a selection of essentials in the kitchen for us and there were fresh flowers all around the rooms. This felt much more like staying in a genuine home and not a sterile holiday let. The rooms were large and well equipped as per the details given. Lots of books, magazines and games available and the barn was stocked with bikes, BBQ, loungers etc. The outdoor spaces were extensive with three separated lawns, outdoor eating, sun loungers and enough space for petanque or even football. The hamlet is very secluded and amazingly quiet. A ten minute drive gets you to the nearest town with hypermarkets, restaurants etc. We loved the villages close by and there were lots of swimming lakes to visit, though the local pool was excellent for sunbathing by the outdoor pool. We loved our stay and only wished we had booked more than two weeks. I can’t recommend this cottage highly enough.
