Ollerbrook Cottages are located in the beautiful countryside of Edale. A great location for walks right from the front door.
For a small village there was a specular firework display on Bonfire night. Unfortunately it rained but this did not stop a substantial crowd from enjoying the evening.
The Cottage we stayed in had everything needed to enjoy a weekend or extended holiday.
The Owners were great at providing information on the area and recommendations on the best restaurants in the area.

My husband and I stayed with our two grown up children for the weekend. Having the extra single room was a plus. What a wonderful cottage it was. We arrived on a very cold dark evening (make sure you take your torch with you so you can find the right cottage) to a warm, cosy home. Keith (the owner) was very welcoming, so was the lovely tea tray of goodies on arrival. We didn't spend a lot of time inside as we were out walking until it got dark. Lots of walking straight from the door. An excellent place - we will be back.

How lovely to hear you appreciated the welcome at Plover Cottage. It certainly comes into it's own on such wintry evenings and we make sure the heating and lights are on in plenty of time for your arrival. Yes -it does get very dark outside and the solar lights were struggling a bit! -but the dark skies are part of the charm of Edale. Do come back when the days are longer and you can spend even more time exploring the lovely countryside. Thank you for your review.

We spent a wonderful week in the cottage. The kitchen is very well equipped, there are guides to the area, DVD and toys for bad weather. The beds are comfortable and everything is in great shape. Keith is a very helpful host and we definitely recommend staying at Ollerbrook cottages

It took just over two hours to this wonderful place, very close to Edale. No passport, no airport queues, stress or hassle and a very pleasant surprise. If you love walking this is the place. Extended family, ages 3 to 70, two beautiful cottages set in tranquil garden and surroundings. Plenty of walks from the door to suit all abilities. Very friendly and helpful owners - we all fought over the lemon drizzle cake on the welcome tea tray, 'yummy'.
We will definitely return!

My wife and I stayed with another couple at Plover Cottage in June 2017.
Finding the cottage was easy from the clear instructions given.
On arrival we found the cottage spotless and exceptionally well presented with a nice welcome pack.
The owners, Keith and Jenny greeted us and we settled in.
The cottage is ample big enough for 2 couples, 1 double bedroom with an en-suite, 1 twin and a single. A separate shared bathroom for the twin and single.
The lounge has adequate seating and the facilities such as tv and internet work if needed. With the peace around you and the views, these are two are items that to be honest I wouldn't miss.
The kitchen is well stocked with crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. The hip is electric as are the grill and oven. A dishwasher is available as are a washing machine (and I believe a tumble dryer), in a separate outhouse very close to the cottage.
Plover is nestled between the owners cottage and Curlew Cottage but with the thick stone walls no sound gets through and it's as good as being detached.
The central heating and hot water system worked very well.
The gardens which the cottage sit it are well kept.
Finally, if you don't feel like cooking then walk to the local pub across the fields of the farm on a gravel track (so no muddy grassland to cross), down some stone steps and across a tiny stone bridge to get to The Old Nags Head. It takes about 7 minutes and is a third of a mile away. Highly recommended. Bookings not required.
So try the cottage yourself. It's in a great location, brilliant walks around and within 30 minutes drive maximum of most visiting places such as Bakewell, Eyam, Chatsworth, Buxton, caves etc.
Would we return? Absolutely.
